Alright, I fight rubicante and he always does his one fire move, one-hit ko's all of my people. What do I do? (hits all people for threethousand plus)

Inferno can easily be stopped by Edge. When Rubicante opens his cloak, have Edge use Steal on him. Even though he has nothing to steal, he'll close his cloak for some reason. Inferno only works when it's open. If you Slow him, you can get a Blizzara/ga on him with Rydia before you steal.
Another tip with Rubicante...try using non-fire magic spells against him. For some reason if you cast a magic spell, he will cast Blizzara on himself, causing damage to himself. Attacking him physically will get you incinerated by his Fira counters. If you still can't handle his Inferno, level up your party if need be.
It took me 2 minutes to beat him
1.level up to about 40-45 for you and party
2.start fight and cast protect and shell on you and party
3.when he opens cloak unleash frozen hell!!!
4.When done with step 3 use steal almost right after
5.heal when needed (probably not but still)
6.repeat step 3-5 until beaten or if any die then revive them and use step 2 and 5
