Keep children from getting lost

You can see the ocean on the top of the screen. Int the very top right-hand

Corner, there is a bug, as there is dry land that looks like water. If you put a villager that is 14 or older there, they will just swim back. However, as children can't swim, they are stuck in the corner. Use that corner to store kids (who are not the chief) until you need them. This prevents the search for children that often takes too long to get the item, especially early on. If the child just teleports onto true dry land, they are not far enough in the corner.

How to acquire unlimited Food

After having a tribal chief, place him/her on the food bin and he/she will create some food. Then it would take 24 hours to repeat it.So pause the game and tap the windows button on the keyboard.Click on the Time & Date button on right-bottom side of your desktop.Click "Change date and time settings...".Then Click "change date and time".Then click on the next day's date(e.g. 19th Jan to 20th Jan). And resume the game, and place the tribal chief again on the food bin and watch the magic.

How to complete vv3 in the free mobile version.

I'd say the most frustrating thing about the free vv3 mobile game is that the max population is 10. Despite that, I have completed the game with as much fun as the pc ver.

So, what I usually do is, I keep restarting until I have a game with female builders and the youngest is a girl. (because a girl cannot reproduce if elderly) And I put a guy to farming, because if our main lady farmer gets pregnant, then she will have to take two years game time out of work.

I start off by planting a tree and completing puzzle 2. I don't find a chief, because if I do, it means I have one less villager to work. Then, I put my two builders to start on puzzle 4, because you don't really need to rebuild the hut. (I save it for future gen. Builders) Then, I send anyone who isn't a farmer, a parent or a builder to the alchemy lab. I wait until I have 4500 tech points and purchase nature faction (because Magic wont be of much use, as it expands population in the full version only)

I try to complete puzzles 3 and 6 first as you need puzzles 3 and 6 to complete puzzles 8,9,10,11,12,14,15 and 16. Also, theres a cactus + cactus + lotus healing potion that helps when everybody is dying/elderly.

When I have enough tech points, I buy lvl 2 restoration because you need it to complete puzzles 6,7,8.

When the oldest child is 14, and old enough to work, I put him/her to rebuilding the hut so that I can get puzzle 6 done as quickly as possible, and I put my other builders in the alchemy lab/to farming.

I try to keep the population at 7, so that I can have kids when the youngest kid is at least 30. (I either kill off a useless elder or let them pass away on their own)

From then on, I start the plans for the bath, and put everyone except one farmer and builder to alchemy so that they could rack up the 50,000 tech points needed to upgrade the nature faction to lvl 2. ( To complete puzzle 11) If I want a esteemed elder, I tend to do so after purchasing lvl 2 nature, (as I usually have about 20,000 tech points to spare.) and making them a doctor, farmer and scientist/builder.

After I've completed puzzle 11, I can start looking for a chief and working on puzzles. (but I leave the rubble alone)

When almost everyone becomes elderly, I usually make all the girls that are not elderly, have a child, and if I don't end up with one boy and at least two girls, then I keep on trying again. (while killing off villagers ): )

After the kids grow up, I set two to working on the rubble (so that they can become builders) I make one pregnant, put one to farming and the others to become scientists. I repeat this process when the kids become elderly, keeping the population at 7.

And thats how I do it! Feel free to email me at [email protected], to ask me any questions about vv3!

Puzzle Solutions

Below is a guide to the puzzles found in this game.

Note: when 'Adult Villagers' are mentioned, this means any adult villager who is not a mother with a recently born baby I.e. They are no longer carrying them in their arms.

1: The First Chief: Find a chief for your village by dropping villagers onto the robe in the ampitheater. Each villager will try it on until one finds that it fits. That villager will then become chief. Anyone can be chief, except for mothers with babies. Repeat whenever your chief dies.

2: The Bee Hive: You need to smoke the bees by the hive to stun them so that your villagers can collect their honey. Collect dry grass and wood in the fire-pit, before lighting the fire (drag villagers to the piles of resources and they will take it to the pit; drag a villager to the torches by the beehive and they will pick up the torch and light the fire-pit). The villager will then take the smoking torch to the hive to calm the bees.

3: The Alchemy Lab: First you need to locate an Adept Scientist out of all your villagers. Then, be on the lookout for four colored pots in your village. Two pots will be colored, either red or yellow and white. One will be brown, and another will be more of a bowl with spoons. Finally you also need to find a spear, which has a golden handle. Drop the Scientist on each object and he will return them to the lab.

4: The Roster of the Dead: Scroll the map to find The Roster of the Dead, which is on the edge of the map - it is a big rock where the names of any dead villagers are recorded. You should find it at the far right of the map. You need to get your living villagers to clear the leaves from the rock. This takes time, but if you put your chief there too, it speeds things up. Completing this puzzle gives you better building skills and speed of completing future projects.

5: Weather Dancing: Put your chief onto the fire in your village. They will start to do a weather dance (you need Level 2 Leadership for this). You then also need 3 Adept Farmers - put them on the fire, and they will help out. The sparks under their feet show that it is working. Eventually it will begin to rain and the villagers will converge on your - you are now able to control the weather.

6: The Lift: You need 3 Adept Builders and Level 2 Restoration to repair the village's lift (the 'strange machine' or see-saw like object to the right of the map. Drag the 3 Adept Builders to the lift (each one needs to be Adept). The game should show that it is being fixed, which can only occur during the rain.

7: The Rubble: With Level 2 Restoration, drop a villager at the rocks in the bottom right corner of the screen. They will remove the rocks, increasing their Building skills and revealing some tablet pieces. Use children to take the tablets back to the laboratory. Use the cave once it is cleared to see history about the area and repeat any story scenes. Note that you can use the chief to increase the speed of clearing the rubble, while any Builders used to do it will be quicker than other villagers anyway.

8: The Ancient Bath: To complete this puzzle, you need a Master Builder, and to have done Puzzle 3, clearing out the Alchemy Lab. Put the Builder on the white board in the Lab and they will plan out the Ancient Bath. Use Builders on the site to begin the construction.

9: The Statue: You must have built the Ancient Bath (Puzzle 8), have Level 3 Restoration, Level 3 Leadership, and have a Master Builder to take on this tricky puzzle. Drop another Master Builder at the white board in the Alchemy Lab to get a plan for the village's statue. Use a Builder on the hill to locate a place for the statue. Put Builders at the statue site (use your chief to direct the work on the construction site - this is essential for this puzzle). The Builders will then push the..

FOOOOOOD!!!!

Once you have a Tribal Cheif, You can make food once every 24 hours, well I found a way to get more food! First you let your T.C. make magic food, then you pause the game by pressing the spacebar. Then you turn off the full screen, then you change the time by a day and you can go back to your Virtual Villagers and unpause it by pressing the spacebar again. Then your T.C. can make magic food again, also you can still have a farmer, but you don't have to have one with cheat!

-Hope you love this cheat!

A few tips learned from playing a lot

There is a hint that says to make a chief real quick, the only problem with this is it takes away a valuable resource (working power). Yes the chief can make food (but only once every 24 real hours)and make the workers closer to him to work faster (but at first you don't have enough manpower to make that a large difference). My suggestion is you wait to have a chief and make a new baby:

Take a villager, have him start collecting the firewood next to the honey comb. Take another one and have them collect the dry grass on the NW corner of the map, left of the waterfall. As your doing that put a villager on a building. Once the grass and wood is on the firepit have a nearby villager attempt to start a fire, stay on him to make sure he is successful and keep at it until a fire starts up. Once you do that pick up the torch right under the honey comb and they will smoke the bees out. Then take the villagers to the comb and keep at it until they start harvesting the honey.

That will keep your village alive for a while and at this point if you can't keep playing make sure you pause the game in the options menu before you turn it off. It goes in real time like you were playing it the entire time and if you wait longer then 6-8 hours you will come back with a half dead island.

When you have some time to kill in the beginning waiting for your slow villagers to do what they are doing you can do this to speed up the harvest of the honey:

Well you know you can drag a player to the honey comb at will and they start harvesting honey? Well after that they walk to the storage bin, unload the honey then waste all your precious time getting back to the comb. I've found to kill a little time when my food is low to speed the process up a bit by dragging my farmer from the food bin to the comb (after they have unloaded the honey of course).

Even though the tutorial says to make a new baby real quick, I think you should hold off on doing that until you have food supplies set, plus you need "all hands on deck" to be able to work for the things you need while learning the game. Once you get settled down and are confident on letting the island go for a while then I would start looking for a chief. Ideally it is a female, so only put females up to where the robe is to have them try it on. Why? A very important thing here! A chief can have a baby and nurse it while being a chief! A normal newborn totting mother can't do anything but walk around and play with her baby, a chief carrying a newborn can still do all of her chiefly duties!

While on the subject of a baby (which me and my fiance are expecting in August 1st, 2008 and at this point of writing is only a month away). When you want the village to enjoy the birth of a new member, take the female chief and find a man. Remember the honey trick? Well same thing applys for makin' babies. Once the status bar at the bottom says they are going indoors just click on the female and move her slightly and instantly you will find out if they were successful in creating a new life or just successfull in wasting some time doing the horizontal monkey dance (not too much of a waste of time, depending on who you ask).

Those are just some tips I have learned through trial and error so you don't have to make the mistakes I made.

Hope it helps

-ImissATARI

First things you should do

When you start the game, the first thing you should do is find a chief.

Then you should get your new chief to create magical food

Then you should have one or two trainee builders, put them on the task of

building a hut.

Then put all of your remaining villagers except two (including the chief) on

the task of building a hut. The chief will direct the work which makes it

go faster.

Then put one of your remaining villager on research.

Then drag the other one over to the fruit by the broken machine, they will then

plant a tree, which provides food.

Once your person on research reaches "Adept Scientist" drag them to the

following items that are scattered around your island:

-A knife

-A Clay Pot

-A small, red and white striped pot

-A bigger, yellow and white striped pot

-A bowl with feather looking things in it.
