It wasn't entirely his fault though, he gave up a single to Tejada, struck out the next guy, and then the Catcher threw the ball into the outfield when Tejada was trying to steal, and he took third. He scored on a sacrifice fly, and Papelbon struck out David Wright to end the inning.

Well that's the thing with runs and earned runs, it doesn't matter if your runs are still unearned, as a pitcher, if your team makes an error or something, as a skilled pitcher (and by Papelbum's stature), he should be able to get someone out.

So, who takes the NL Central and Wild card? I'm thinking the NL would look like..

West: Dodgers
Central: Cardinals
East: Phillies
Wild Card: Brewers.

Nah. Wild Card is Giants all the way. Great pitching rotation. Offense is getting good. They have a chance at the WS this year.

I'm not gonna bet on their offense. If I see a few more games through July, I'll consider. If Jonathan Sanchez can all of a sudden become awesome after his no-hitter, then the Giants are just going to be flat out nasty. Lincecum-Cain-Johnson-Sanchez-Theotherguy

Maybe the Rockies can make a surprise surge... not like they need it.

I would say watch out for the Cincinnati Reds, but after the injury to Jay Bruce I don't know if they can challenge like I thought they could. God knows what lies ahead for the Giants. Great rotation, but they have no hitting. I like the Phillies to win the NL East, the Cardinals to win the Central, and of course the Dodgers in the West. I guess I will go with the Giants for the Wild Card, but that's not a very confident pick.

I wouldn't think the Reds. When Votto went onto the DL, didn't they become terrible? The veterans like Harang aren't helping either. I can bet on Cueto though.

Since people discussed it in other places, what are the chances of the Marlins?

I like the Marlins chances next year better. It seems as if they are one good position player away from becoming a contender. I wouldn't completely rule it out. The Wild Card seems more realistic for them the way Philadelphia is playing. Anyways, how about the Twins blowing a ten-run lead last night to the Athletics? Good as a White Sox fan to see that happen. Hopefully it derails them. And the Yankees are not going to give in. It looked like the Red Sox were just waiting to take control of the division and go on a big run. The All-Star Break hurt them a lot. I never would have thought with the Yankees poor performance the first few weeks and their record against the Red Sox that they would be in this situation. Looks to me as if the momentum is shifting. I think the Yankees take the division lead sometime this week.

Yankees are up two games. I hate when those snobby, ignorant Bostonians come to Camden Yards. A couple of my buddies were at the game when the Red Sux blew a ten-run lead to the Orioles.

Mark Buehrle throws a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Great to see a perfect game. Sanchez with the no-hitter, and now Buehrle with the perfect game.

I'm seeing the Tigers hold on to the central. I really would hope the Rangers take the West but those Angels are really annoying.

@ Camerupt, my mom is going to Camden to watch the O's and Red Sox. She's gonna wear a Teixeira jersey there, so she's gonna get harassed pretty bad. I was surprised the Sox won last night, Bergesen held the Red Sox to one run last time, and Penny was completely murdered. Interesting to see how the rest of this month plays out.

Edit - LOL. I knew it. Papi and Manny tested positive in 2003.

Ortiz...Ortiz....shame on you.

I've missed a lot..so I'm gonna comment on the stuff that has happened while I was gone:

Mark Buehrle...Hall of Famer already. Good for him on the Perfect.
Yanks take the lead on the East after Boston is literally failing right now...even now after...
Ortiz and Manny...test positive on PED in 2003. Sucks to be Boston and Dodgers.

....What the hell is happening to us? We should have had those two games.

The surprise trade in the deadline was without a doubt Jake Peavy. We all though he was staying with the Padres. Declined all trades before and thought he was staying put.

That White Sox game was just embarassing...

It's alright to lose the first one on a walk off hit, the second one was a bit sloppy... but today was embarrassing. Flat out. Cody Ransom is a worthless player and should be released. >_>

Melky Cabrera hits for the cycle. First Yankee to do that in over a decade.

I think we forgot something that happened a few days ago.

Damn it now I forgot the player's name. One of the Pirate's players hit 3...yeah count'em 3 Home Runs in a game. Good for him.
