AFL Talk and News

hey, ferrari here.
I made this so that everyone in Australia (and others that know of AFL) can talk and get to know more about AFL. Plus there wasn't anything about AFL on here that I could find.

I go for Geelong, im sure you wouldv guessed in my name. don't bag about the grand final lol.

but yer you can talk about news from the team you barrack for, ask questions and pretty much talk anything about AFL.

AFL, Heard of it, but the post itself its somewhat more like those in the NFL (American)and rugby.

what do you mean exactly? sorry it might be obvious but i just got up.

I've seen the Australian rules on TV a couple of times and I can't understand the game. To me it looks like an excuse for a brawl.

I'm not a big fan of AFL, I understand how most of it works, but I'd rather watch Rugby League; too bad my team is hopeless =[

lol yer especially in melbourne. were mad when it comes to footy. i go to every home game and this year we got to go to all games in Victoria.

it is a little confusing. i still dnt exactly get that new rush rule. but apparently you can rush it through if you are under pressure. umpires need to b stricter on that.

ok for those that dnt exactly get it heres the simple bit. you can handball or kick it. you cant throw the ball.
you hav to get the ball through the two tall middle posts for 6 points (goal) or if you get it between the small and tall post its a behind (one point).
Ok four quarters each with 20 minutes plus time added on from free kicks and goals etc.
umm....what else geez....umm...just let me know if theres anything you want to know.

oh yer if you want to talk about the games too ill allow.

In short, the length of the pole itself is like what you see in NFL, Canadian football and Rugby, except the style of playing is different.

ok i think i know what your talking bout now. but yer i think most football in a way is similar. lmao im watching the footy show and they just said something really funny. wnt say since its a little rude. might break a rule.

lol yer that is awesome. im guessing your happy too since west coast beat bulldogs. they've helped out geelong lol. somehow we need to get on top of saints though. theres no way we could get a percentage of 200.

it was such a good game...especially the last 5 minutes.

who wouldve thought that essendon could get 3 goals in 5 minutes to win. lol

yer i sorta feel sorry for you in a way. my best friend goes for brisbane and i bagged him so much. well not a lot but i bagged him.

i was at that game and it was only like 8 degrees! i was freezing!
but at least it was a good game for us.

i cant wait til geelong play saints. but its not til round 14 and its our away game. should be able to go though.

I thought of going to that match, but then i thought, wait, we suck, Geelong don't suck, i'm gonna stay away from that game.

but yer you wouldnt've wanted to go to that game it was freezing, raining and windy. i mean yer there was mud coz its not like telstra dome or "etihad stadium" (stupid name).

man im shocked with hawthorn though. oh yer and geelong have officially, well sorta officially, been called the greatest team of all. it says in the newspaper. weve won 47 out of the last 50 games and beaten essendons record. they had won 46 out of 50 from 99-01.

Technically, you only have the record because everybody else sucks. And you only have like five decent players anyway.
