Well, congrats to Barcelona, although I'm a Manchester United fan, but I believe Manchester United did their best, too.

My thoughts are that the best team in the world was victorious today. This was one of the best teams ever. Domination in every event.

I think I'd rather have Lionel Messi in my team than Ronaldo. At least Lionel Messi is a team player and the commentator who said he couldn't head a ball should be sacked for talking garbage, that header has to be the best header in a Champions League final ever.

I live in Barcelona and there was fireworks going off throught the night in celebration. Just before the game I walked past the Barcelona football shop a couple of times during the day and it was packed with fans buying jerseys, scarves, flags, etc. On a normal day you'll be lucky to find anyone in it.

I have to say that the United supporters for the most part displayed exemplary behavior, very gracious in defeat. Barcelona? Incredible season. Won the League, Copa del Rey, and Champions League. One of the greatest, most dominant teams you will ever see.

Xavi and Iniesta took the game by the scruff of the neck, and they didn't let go

Most people thought Barcelona had made a mistake when they let Ronaldhino go to Italy but it has unified the team and cemented their place in history as one of the greatest teams ever.

would it be right to say that the Barcelona team was built around Ronaldinho? If that is the case then his departure is the cause for their recent unity and team spirit.

Ronaldinho won't be forgotten though. They won it in 2005-2006 with him, and Laporta decided they needed to embark on a new phase, and they won two La Liga titles, and one Champions League when Ronaldinho played. However, with so many new stars and Milan offering a boatload of money to Barcelona, Laporta pulled the plug on him, and in came Josep Guardiola. And he has already won all three major Spanish trophies. And this came a year after he was almost ousted as president.

I think the Barcelona of 2008/9 is better than any of the teams that Ronaldinho played in. I think they are a team now and not relying too heavily on one individual like when they Ronaldinho played for them.

No doubt this team is better, but the team that was build around Ronaldinho was good too. Last year they showed signs of being a good squad at times, but just absolutely got killed by injuries. They still had injuries this year, but they were able to overcome them.
