Kay so, the first one is about a week old. The second one is my newest.
I tried to do what I did in the first one, but with more effects and stuff. Hence why the same colors are used, only the second one is more saturated.
I don't know.

The vertical one looks really good. Has a more "dark" feeling.

The second one is better. It has a Tornado storm feeling with the vortex look.
The first one has less effort than the second one

Actually... it took about three times as more effort. =P
The first one, believe it or not, has almost 100 layers. (50 normal, plus a bunch of adjustment layers...)
The second one barely touches 30 layers, plus took A LOT less time to make than did the first one.

Yes well, that's all that's important tbh. ;O Doesn't matter how much effort I put into it if it doesn't look like I put that effort in.
It looks the way it looks because I've done too much to it. I tried to smoothen it out and what had happened was all the effects were smoothened out, and it became too boring.

Edit: I think the version in my PSD and the file I uploaded are different...

The rest "enhance" the quality and blend all the effects that were put into this.
Along the way, I smudged more to get rid of the effects of the smudge that you can see in the second version so that it's smoothened out.
I'd also like to mention that the tag I uploaded and the tag in my screenshot are different versions. I forgot I worked on it later that same day but never saved it as a .png and, therefore, never uploaded a second version.

I can't see the first tag, but I presume it's the one you posted on Pxe?
The smudging on the second is fantastic, but I still think it needs more. Try adding more colors, for example. Here is a tag with the same type of smudge, but a completely different result:

Your smudging is improving a lot, anyway. Oh, it looks slightly LQ (as in jpeg/grainy) for me :(

I don't know, that sig looks as if the smudging doesn't have any scatter to it... Or if it does, it's much more subtle than the way I have it.
I'm not that good at smudging to make it look good without a scatter, so I'll get there eventually. ;O

I'd love to know your settings, it reminds me of the old sig I did whichwas smudged similarly.
