How to tell my parents I'm an Atheist

Why would they force you going to church if you are not faithful?

If I were you I'd dress up in a devil costume and go to the church or cause a fuss the next time you're at church.

You have absolutely no idea how much I hate these topics.

If you have to go, you have to go. There's no way around it. IMO, if I were in your situation, I wouldn't listen to what anybody says is a good way to get out of church, because the moment you do, you're not just being defiant, you're being outright rude and immoral.

That's the problem I have with being religious, exactly. When a person does that, all their thoughts get a 360 flip, and suddenly they are gods who know exactly how everyone should live their life and exactly what will happen to them. You're no mind readers or profits.

You aren't accusing me of that are you? Because, I said nothing about my religion. In fact, I said that if I was on his side.

You based that post off of your religous beleifs and you know it. the same goes for that one text you sent me having to do with me realizing stuff in the future. We know each well enough to guess that the neither of us will budge from our sides, so I won't attempt to continue this. This is just the first time I could be assed to add my input.

You tell me then, how it's not rude to sit in a public service of any sort, with an ipod cranked up.

Or, how being defiant and rebellious to your parents when they tell you to do something is perfectly fine.

If it is, explain to me where our morals went, religion, or no religion.

I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but the topic was how to tell my parents that I don't believe.

I still have to go to church, end of story. There is no need to give me these ludacris ways to get out of it.

There's my point.

In telling them, you just need to speak out. It's worse to hold in something.
