Sims die too quickly...

... Is it just me or is everyone's Sims seeming to die a little easily in this version?

They do seem to die a little quickly, but you can always turn the aging function off if it bothers you. View the cheats. If you mean by fire etc. never try to extinguish a fire yourself. Always call emergency.

I don't think they die too quickly. If you're playing more than one person in a house, it actually is harder to kill them, especially if they have a platinum aspiration a lot of the time. I find that the easiest way to have long living sims is to have two family aspiring sims get married. Kids will soon follow and the fun will never end.

im sorry, but im going to be a jerk by stating something obvous...if you drink the elixer of life (with gold asperation)your sim will "gain" 3 days to his life thus increasing thear normal life span. i have had the game sense it came out and have been playing with the same person....without the aging cheat. lastly i would like to bring up an issue with the elixer. by a freak accadent i had my person drink from the elixer of life 5 time in a row with the fastest speed going. sense then my person has been glowing blue like he would if he were drinking the elixer all the time and frankly it is starting to bug me. if anyone has a way to stop this from happoning, please let me know

i think it is you need to work out more and keep them fit.

or you can use the cheat "aging off"?

my teen never seems to age at all she is still a teen on her first day and even if i drink an elixir of life on a red aspiration meter she still won't age is that luck or what if only that would happen whenshe was an adult. mine doesn't even notice the fire I think its a glitch. how do I fix it.

use the aging cheat

press shift+control+c all at the same time to open a cheat window and then type in Aging Off
