I think so. Like the guy with the problem, I'm using Imgburn. So, if I put the DVD+R DL in, Imgburn will read it and change the booktype to a DVD-ROM, and that'll work, right? (Sorry if that's completely wrong.)
I've heard that the disk freezes when it tries to switch layers. Is this true and is there a way to stop it?

Check dealers like newegg and tigerdirect for sales. I recently got some 50ct. spindle packs of Memorex 8x DVD+R DL for $33@ at newegg.com.
As for burning, I use Roxio EMC or PowerISO. Both can do DL quite well.
I've burned over 300 DLs.

If an ISO is over 4.38GB, it was probably meant to be burned to a DL.
I use a Samsung ST-S223L SATA burner with Lightscribe. Got it about a month ago for $30.
