We're looking for the Most Valuable Player on the forums, so basically the person that is most active in replying to threads (and evaluating the post quality), creates interesting topics (we will be evaluating the number of topics started and using criteria to judge how good they are), and who is seen by other members to be the most valuable to the forums (via nomination... read on for details=

In the next couple of weeks we'll be planting a field in your bio (we'll let you know when it's been done) to allow you to nominate one member... We'll then count up the votes, look at forum activity and visits and come up with who believe is the Most Valuable Player for October.

Now, I'm not talking moderator here, or admin etc... Because only certain members have the permissions to moderate or admin the forum, so we won't be considering who is the best mod... Just the best overall member (whether they are a member, moderator, supermod or admin).

If you have muiltiple accounts on supercheats you may not vote for one of your other usernames, same with replying to yourself on a thread... We will be checking! Any cheating will mean you are banned from the MVP competition for life.

The prize will be a MVP medal in your status.

This competition is open to any Super Cheats member and will run through October, the winner will be announced in early November.

Subject to activity we'll try to run this competition every month or every few months.

No, certainly not ... Thread starts, and posts will come into play big time... I don't want to divulge the exact criteria as it may lead to manipulation... It's really about who creates the most and best threads and who helps others with their replies.

I like the idea, quite like others forums I visited however I can't get over the feeling everyone will just vote for their friends.

Gives a better incentive to post more quality posts though so it's not all bad.

Well you will only have one vote each... We'll be watching like hawks for cheating or suspicius activity and will ban offenders if they try to break to spirit of this event.

Forum thread creation are posts actually pay just a big a part in this event as votes from other members so there is quite an open opportunity for people... We have auality criteria too, so don't just post bull-crap, we'll find out and it will count against you in the overall scores.

You cant just vote for your friends as Rich has his own criteria so dont worry. If it was possible just to do it on post count or starting topics it would leave people wide open to try any old spam fest. This is very much in the way of being a good solid reliable member of the SC community. (Im not saying for definite, just my taking on this)
