So, yeah. Even with classes and clubs I have too much free time. I study, I read the books, I go to my meetings, I even get up on time for class most days. My girlfriend and I are at the same college, so that occupies some free time, but her courses are more difficult for her than mine are for me, so she has much less time. I am a history major. Easy mode, much? She's an architecture major. Much more difficult. So, anyway... What am I to do with my free time? A person can only handle so much repetition. I'm only a freshman and I'm already bored half the time.
Ah, almost forgot... Feel free to post about your life at college, classes you're taking, etc.

Take up drinking. I got into it in my first year at Uni and never looked back. It's been a life-changing experience for me. It's a lot of fun, and you can do it casually with your friends or competitively on a local, national or even international level.
U.S. drinking age - 21. problemsolver's age - 18. I'm working on a second sequal, but I can only do that for an hour or two before I have to find something else to do. BSU is not known for its parties.

I'm sure there are student parties with smuggled alcohol somewhere near you, problemsolver. I heard that's what Americans do.
I was doing Geography last year. Got bored of it, so axed the course and re-started Uni doing American Studies (chance for a bit of travelling), so technically I'm a first year again, and I still live in the halls.
I support Currmonster's advice - take up drinking.
Well Yeah Im in the same boat as you "sometimes". I only have College twice a week, sometimes the homework/test load is easy and other times I'm pulling out my hair. My teachers all seem to put there test on the same week D:
Put yourself in someone else's shoes if you will, A person who is always looking like hell and struggling to get by in collage and has no free time at all.... but enough about my cousin.
ANYWAY, you should be happy about your free time, i recently have had a bunch of free time, and not because i slak off, i am maintaining a very high avrage as it is, but back to free time, i sorrund myself with friends and family and always keep in touch with them, spend more of your time working in all aspects of life and i can guarentee you will be spending your time wisely.
Do not waste your time on Social Questions. What is the matter with the poor is Poverty; what is the matter with the rich is Uselessness.
I don't understand it. ;_; I'm going to talk about my high school life:
I'm taking just three college courses, and I have no life, basically. Of course, I'm pretty distracted... quite easily, in fact. (I don't know how I would be right now if I was still playing football. I'd probably not only not have a life, but also not get any sleep.)
But all the clubs and activities I'm doing this year do take up some of my free time over the weekend. Like this recent Friday, I had to attend to a fundraiser from 4-10pm.
The problem is, with it (classes & activities) all in my schedule, I'm procastinating all the huge projects until the last minute (because I've been doing all the higher priority stuff before it, i.e. minor assignments due the next day, etc.)
Take, for example, my English (one of my college courses) project, which is due tomorrow. I was spending all day today working on it. Still not exactly done with it, but I'm getting there.
Tomorrow, I have a Calculus test (another one of my college courses), which I didn't study for. (Luckily, it's only about limits, so it shouldn't be too hard.)
Biology (also college)... Well, a couple long-term assignments due later this week. A lab and a Chapter study guide, which I spent all day yesterday working on.
Sociology--Not even an Honors course, let alone college-level, yet we have two ongoing projects: One due tomorrow (which I didn't finish...) and another due Friday (which I didn't start).
The problem is this... My friends are not finding their time at college so easy. Most of them are up until all hours studying and barely managing their 3.5's. I'm coasting along at my 4.0... Part of it, I know, is because that is what has always been expected of me. I guess I'll go to the gym more often. That'll be fun...

Here's a word of advice for all you kids who don't want to work hard, who want to sit around and play with your friends all day and not have to do any actual thinking or hard graft. Don't go to college. In fact, don't even move out of your mum's house. Just stay locked in the protective bubble of your teenage years forever and stay as far away from the big nasty real world as you can possibly get.
University third-year here, working hard and hardly working all at once. You'll think I'm strange for saying this, but I envy everyone who starts at nine o'clock. Sitting around the flat until lunchtime and going to class at two in the afternoon is the ultimate waste of a good day.
No, it makes sense. The earlier you start the earlier you finish. There's usually more stuff going on in the afternoon and evening than there is in the morning. If all of your free time is in the morning, you're screwed. The days when my classes do not start until 11 are much less enjoyable than the ones that have my classes starting at 8:30.
