When you push the a button and go to combine on the lets say shotgun shells how do you combine them with the shotgun or is this even possible if not then what do they get combined with

You can't combine them directly with the weapon. In that case, bullets can only combine with bullets (to save space?). If my memory doesn't fail me, the only cases where you can use a weapon for that option is when you combine a Rifle with a scope.

Special Items aside, the only other items you can combine are herbs: you get different results by mixing different colors.

You reload a gun by first having said gun equipped. Like if you're using one of the shotguns, (depending on the system) hit the button combo to reload the gun. Like for the Wii, holding B and shaking the Wii Mote. I don't know the PS2 or other system combos. I only have the Wii's version. Same concept with all guns.

Vas, combining weapons with scopes / stocks works for a variety of weapons. TMP, Red 9, Mine Thrower, Rifle, Rifle (Semi-Auto), Infrared Scope (Both Rifles), etc.

Having to combine ammo with weapons to reload them was a thing of past Resident Evil games, in which you couldn't reload unless your current ammo clip was empty.
