I kinda went with my "new style," but pretty differently in this one. Unfortunately, that style didn't do this tag much good, since the original stock would have been better with a completely different style.

In any case, this is what I got... It took a very long time to make. I possibly over-did it, but eh.

Edit: horrible lighting! I just noticed that. I know why it's like that; it's something I did veryyy early in the making of this tag. It (the lighting) looked good then. ;_;

Edit2: second version added; changed the colors and cleared up the lighting.

Haha, you you love complaining about your tags, Vee.

Cool atmosphere. The light is way too strong and one-sided, but let's leave it behind, since you're aware of what you did. I'd just remove those C4Ds set to Linear Dodge (I believe), the colors don't really match. Experiment with some black and white fractals, I think you'd get a nice result.

Nice tag, once again. Keep 'em urrrrrrp.

well thats because there is always something to complain about in my tags =P

I personally thought the c4ds set to lighten (having been adjusted later on my adjustment layers) added a nice touch :( and i changed the color so that this tag wouldnt be so monotone. I could change it to yellow or something to match better?

I will try some fractals later on, I think those are what I need to accomplish the results I keep aiming for. thanks very much, vas!

I know it's hard to believe, but I actually didn't smudge at all in this. :O

(seriously)

It's all manipulation and use of C4Ds. ;) I did use clipping masks using the C4Ds which may have given this signature a feel of smudging. But I did not smudge. ;)

Added a second version.

Had to go through multiple applied images but luckily not much was done to them except for slight adjustments.

But I got rid of the excess and distracting lighting and changed the colors of the C4Ds (which were surprisingly much more near the end than I originally thought). I decided against fractals because, with what I have, they would have worked a lot better if I had used fractals as my effects from the start rather than used as details.

I know thats kinda the feel to it with the light source being behind the focal, I just think it darkens out too many midtones for the texture and makes it more of a silhouette. Epic effects all the same =D

But the silhouette is what I was aiming for. :(

But I do wonder how it would look if I didn't put in too much contrast and not enough exposure.

Bit too much contrast, but I actually love the lighting in the first.

Nice effects and atmosphere, I honestly really like this one ;).
