me and my friend both picked it up at the mid-night launch,I only played it for about an hour when I got home but thus far it looks impressive.battle system is really unique,and a lot of reviewers are saying this could be one of the hardest final fantasy's in later points in the game.obviously don't expect to be fully into the game once it starts,for the first couple of hours the game will be teaching you the basics

I got it three hours ago, and have 3 hours of playtime XD. It's not hard to understand. Apparently, the game takes about 60 hours of playtime (aka, about 10 days).

No, I did not get the guide. Didn't bother, just rushed right in. Although, now I am on Chapter Ten and it's getting quite hard.

I'm somewhere in chapter 4,battle system is finally starting to get good as well as the story

I like chapter nine at the end, because then you can FINALLY CHOOSE WHO'S IN YOUR PARTY! A very useful tool. Although I'm disappointed with the roles. Every character can learn every role, but when you reach that point, it takes like, 3000 points for each ability of the roles the character did not start out with (like, it takes 3000 per Medic Ability for Snow), which is disappointing. i wanted to be able to use all of them equally.

And Nikki, I'm not rushing through THAT fast. I just play it a lot (20 hours playtime so far) and I have to beat my friend who got it at midnight. I bet $20 on it.

hay nikki how far on it are you aculy i borowed nick's and am on chapter 7 well was yesterday would be on chapter 11 now if i did not give it back to him as promest. cool thing is he has now ps3 yet and he got the ps3 vershion. so i may aculy complet a ff game befor he starts it

Im playing it cool and havent even started yet. If I start it now I will just rush through everything.

The secondary role system is over-rated. The three main roles for each character have abilities that characters without that main role can't learn.

When I was power-leveling, I unlocked Army of One in Lightning's Ravager role. I glanced through the roles of the other characters and I noticed Hope and Snow each have a move that no one else can learn. Does Vanille, Fang, and Sazh each have a special move, or are Lightning, Hope, and Snow the only ones that have special moves.

Also, why do only Lightning, Snow, and Fang learn Launch? Sazh has Commando as a main role along with the other three, but he can't learn Launch. Is it because of their choice of weapons?
