Yep. The times they have a-changed. I use reddit sometimes but it's just not the same. Most people there are just after upvotes so every single comment is some dumb pun or joke. And there's so many different communities and threads you can't really make friends.

I don't really ever go on reddit. I'm basic. XD

I follow some sports and gaming cause it's really the beat way to keep up with everything. And I've gotten a TON of great book recommendations from book subreddits. But if you venture outside of the hobby subs it turns into a cesspool of reposts, lame jokes, and incessant political toxicity.

I think I have only really gone on reddit to read about possible Pokemon leaks, always being lead there from another article though.

I'll talk any sports. College Football too if y'all would start to follow. lol

Matt you should really get into baseball if you like stats. It's kind of harder to talk about though because there's so many games and it's hard to get a picture of the whole game just from watching highlights. Plus regular season baseball is admittedly kind of boring to watch. Nothing better than putting the radio broadcast on on a warm summer day though.

Basketball is really fun but the way the league has evolved has made the regular season worthless.

Football is the easiest and best to discuss because all the games happen at once and it's easy to boil games down into 3 minute long highlight videos.

Yeah, far too many baseball games to cover. Last time I really watched and listened to a whole season had to have been when the Cubbies won like a hundred games. I think that was over a decade ago. That was the team that was suppose to win it all. But I get hyped with the postseason.

Hard to watch basketball for me as my dad played through college and the game he taught me (that he learned when growing up) if far different than what you see. Too many third steps, push offs, flopping, jawing the refs. If I did half of what you see nowadays when playing my dad and brother, I would foul out in like five minutes. Much like MLB, really only invested in key games and the postseason. College Basketball (and Football) a different story; heavily invested in each (but that might be because a third of the games).

I like watching March Madness especially with Villanova being so good recently, they're kind of my local team. I like college teams that keep their core more than 1 year, which I think we'll start to see more once they light high schoolers get drafted and sign directly with the G League.
