I've never understood why people get upset when someone they've never met, spoken to, or had any other form of contact with dies.
This. It's like when JD Salinger died a while ago. Now, I loved Catcher in the Rye, but I didn't care he was dead. And then my sister, who has no idea who he is, goes 'aww, that's sad.' Seriously, what?

My childhood was wrapped around this mans little finger. I'm actually sad because I know he contributed to Pokemon when there where only 150 Pokemon and the writers where still full of fresh, new, unstereotyped ideas.

Ok, Michael Jackson, I can understand. He was a hugely famous musician, but even then the level of emotion shown was rather creepy lol
High five!
i really couldnt care less, if i didnt want to electronicly high five sphynxx i proberly wouldnt have even posted it wasn't until returning here that i realized people even still cared about pokemon, i remember it being popular when i was about 14 or something with the original 150 but had no idea it had gone so far.
For clarification btw, he was an ex-writer. For the original series a lot of people grew up with. Not what's been crapped out for a while now.
/thread Don't know the guy, but its still sad to hear he's died, the original series that he wrote were the best episodes as well.
I'm failing to see hows it sad at all. No-one here knew him personally. Sure, they knew some of his work, but that isn't really a significant connection to render any emotional response from his death.
Unless of course I'm just a cold hearted git =D

Takeshi Shudo was not only one of the original writer's, but he was the original Ash!!!! I LOVED the original pokemon.. Misty was my fave.. so when she left I just sorta gave up on pokemon.. =[ xox
Anyways.. A lot of the ppl here are very dis-respectful.. i mean it doesn't matter if you've spoke to him or never met him.. still have a bit of respect for him and his family.. I don't mean cry or be sad I mean write some nice comments about him.. and if you don't like pokemon.. then why even bother to read this forum??
and for the rest who like or love pokemon???XOXOXOXOXOXOX
