Welcome to the Pokemon Black and Pokemon White walkthrough. In this series of threads, you will learn just about everything there is to know about the upcoming Pokemon games. From general story, to in depth detail on everything you'll see while playing this game.
Upon the start of this game, you'll first meet Pokemon Professor Juniper. She will ask which gender you are (Which she must be blind not to realize), then for a name. She then will proceed to fill you in on who your own friends are - Cheren and Bianca.
Proceeding with the game intro, you will be placed in your character's room where a present lay waiting on the table. The present is from Professor Juniper, and tells you that the box contains new Pokemon for you to use.
Once you choose, one of your friends will request a battle (The one that you're at a type advantage to). Upon beating the first challenger friend of yours, you will be healed and pitted against the Pokemon you're at a type disadvantage to. Here are the match ups for the battles, should you choose Oshawott.

Level up! Well if you win the battle that is. You should be +1000 more Poke if you won both battles now.
When you arrive downstairs, you'll find the two apologizing to your parent.
After a small conversation, the two will leave, leaving you with your mother to talk to. She will heal your Pokemon and give you the "Live Caster", which is this game's telephone. Once done in with your mother, you should be able to leave your home and venture out into the town. Immediately, you should notice several small bird Pokemon taking flight, and Bianca leaving to head towards the south. Follow her home and attempt to talk to her. As soon as you do, you'll notice her father yelling at her within the house. Once she leaves, you will be free to roam around the town.
To the bottom right is Cheren's house. To the bottom left is Bianca's house. In the center is your home. To the top left is the Pokemon Lab. To the top right is the entrance to Route 1.
Your destination at this point is the Pokemon Lab. Meet up with your friends there and go inside. As you walk in, you will get a lively greeting from the Unova's Pokemon Professor, Professor Juniper. She will ask you if you want to nickname your Pokemon. Next, she will then ask you if you want the Pokedex. Once obtained, you will be free to proceed with your Pokemon adventure.
Next up is the Pokemon catching tutorial along with an overview of Route 1.

Heh, nice one Derek. Since I'm thinking of getting White, but not being much of a fan, these will probably come in handy. I do have to say though, the professors a babe

Yes? Only way for us to get pictures of the game is through less than legal ways that I'm not going to go into.
