any one else had bad experiance with steam

this is a technology topic for you picky admins so please let this one go already man;;

ok i have had steam for a bout 3 months and havent had a single problem one day i come home and my account has been suspended really ticked me off any one else had issues like this and if so what


ps. any one know how long a steam suspension lasts thanks

Umm, Steam is notorious for banning people for no discernible reason.

I'm just waiting for Qwert to come & post the .gif image he had as his signature a while back haha. It pretty much sums up all I've ever heard about Steam & VAC.

Lol banned on Steam? Here is a list of possible reasons, that just names a few:
1. You have hair
2. You don't have hair
3. You are alive
4. You aren't alive
5. You went to the bathroom today
6. You didn't go to the bathroom today
7. You live in America
8. You don't live in America

well "the spook" i was looking around on Steam and i came across the forums then came across all these topics about being banned and such. Let me know if it helped. If not let me know anyways and i'll try to help you out

If this qualifies as a bad experience, I forgot the password, username and email to my old Steam account about two years ago. Never bothered getting another.

The famous gif sphynxx was talking about:

In my defense all i did was scan for a match and it put me into a 10t prestige lobby.Not long after,like maybe a few weeks i was banned.i email them and there a bunch of ***** so i quit using Steam.

Steam is similar to XBL or PSN, although much worse... I know, you didn't think that was possible! But it is.

Wow. You'd probably have to try to be worse than XBL and PSN. I used to have XBL but they overcharged my account for gold subsciption, it was bad too, they said it was like $60 for a year but they charged me over $100. And i still have PSN i just never use it.

But its pretty hard to imagine anything worse than those two

Steams horrible.You can get banned for breathing.
gotta say when i did message there support they were a bunch of inconsiderate jerks who said
"Go buy the game again" which is like 50-60 bucks.That ****** me off even more

Wow man. Wow. Is there anyway you can get your money back?

How can they get away with doing that?

Because no one cares about the computer gaming industry?

So do they really have like 9 million members? or are half of them like banned users?

They probably have quite a few members. But VAC is notorious for banning users who've done nothing wrong whilst the genuine hack running players get around the bans easily as crap.
