I've been trying to find the "press statement" from Universal which would confirm this. But so far, there isn't one. Also, the website that I linked, isn't the genuine website titled "stuff.co.nz" is a fake. Plus, IMDb.com has no upcoming movie listed under "The Music Factory" haha. Nothing under Usher nor Christ Columbus.

Looks like someones trying to generate even more hype around this so called "singer".

I'm posting this just so people don't get all "OMG OMG OMG IT WAS ALL FAKE" like my local radio show was haha. Because so far, I've found nothing that supports it xD

Haha when I was walking past my tv in my house I saw justin beiber and I was like what is he doing on tv now and then he got shot and I was like "YES!" then I saw the CSI cast and then I was like awwww. lol

Haha i watched it over and over again, it was awesome.

None so far dood. But, as I pointed out in the OP - the website that posted the article is a fake anyway. The real "www.stuff.co.nz" didn't have any article like this at the time (haven't gone back to check). Which leads me to believe this is all just another publicity stunt to generate more media attention around Mrs I Can't Sing For Crap.

Plus, IMDb etc has nothing about any upcoming movie called "The Music Factory" and if IMDb.com doesn't have anything, I'm inclined to believe it's all BS.
