Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Ohhhh, I do love stirring up the random moments of rage and deseperation that is the question to end all (in the FF World) - WILL THEY MAKE A FF 7 REMAKE!?!?!

Please excuse my ignorance but i havent looked recently to hear the buzz, so i thought i'd ask the good people here as alot of the time all i get is rumour and crud, so please all you RPG fans out there, help me peice together the truth!!!

I'd love a Final Fantasy VII remake. It would be brilliant. Just don't do it on the PSP, please.

However, it won't happen until Sony release a home console that can't play PS1 games (via disk, now download).

I read in a Spanish gaming mag that they are going to make the remake, but sorry Volke, they are saying it will be for the new PSP Vita or whatever they are calling it now.

So it will be HD...but mini HD. Still enough to make the female population of FF fans drool.

Lets just see if the Spanish gaming mag was infact correct or just publishing rumours.

The Spanish media and rumours go together like spaghetti and meatballs. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if it was remade for the PSP, though. After all, the first six Final Fantasy games were re-released on the GBA, and some were remade for the DS. I just can't see such an epic game possessing the same impact on a handheld console.

I forgot, but in an interview with like, one of the Final Fantasy people on what was coming next, he said "Maybe a FFVII remake?" and then laughed.

So either they're actually considering it, or they think it's a joke.

It's been that way for years.

I would love to see it remade, as long as they didn't make it like the newer FInal Fantasys, which they probably would.

Last year, one of the Square executives said they'd explore the possibility of a remake after XIII was completed. Nothing concrete since, though.

As much as I'd love to see it remade, I wouldn't be that upset if they didn't. I still have a copy of the original game and still play it often.

Yeah, AND you can download it for PSN, which I did, then put it on my PSP.

Spent half of last summer playing that thing until about 6AM.

Not sure whats so wrong with the classic game. I have played this many many times. I know the story very well. I also have played many rpg games and never had as much fun as FF7. If square-enix is going to make another final fantasy they need a great story, a great battle system, and a completally new world to explore.

The next rumour I heard was that it was going to be FFX remade for Vita but who knows ey?

I still havent heard anything concrete and their games are now showing signs of going sour.

I think a game tying all the final fantasys worlds together and an extremally long story line would make an awsome new game for square enix. Then they could include all our loved final fantasy games and everyone will stop all the whining about the subject. This topic has been around since FF7 came out.

I doubt anyone will want to play a game that lasts for 1500 hours.

Besides the games never had anything in common with each other.

Yes i think millions would play it, and having them linked together somehow....mabie i was just throwing a long shot. Don't get me wrong though, i would love to play an ff7 remake. Or atleast a sequal. Advent children, Dirge of Cerburus, Crisis Core.....its not like they havnt tried.
