Just so all of you guys know, we've recently changed how we select Moderators on this site. So that everyone understands and no-one starts asking when the next shakeup is, here's a small section from the Super Moderator/Non-Root Administrator guidelines:
Promoting forum and hub moderators If a super moderator or administrator finds a member who they believe would be a good moderator for a certain forum, they may start a thread in the Super Mod Forum titled 'PROPOSAL: Promotion of [said member]' with a poll with the two options 'Accept' or 'Reject'. Super moderators and non-root administrators will have seven (7) days to comment and may vote on the poll at any time, and an administrator, if they are satisfied with the results, will promote that member to moderator of the said forum.
If a super moderator or administrator believes that a current moderator of a forum that is part of a hub would be a good moderator for the entire hub, they may start a thread in the Super Mod Forum titled 'PROPOSAL: Promotion of [said moderator] to hub moderator' with a poll with the two options 'Accept' or 'Reject'. Super moderators and non-root administrators will have seven (7) days to comment and may vote on the poll at any time, and an administrator, if they are satisfied with the results, will promote that moderator to moderator of the said hub.
Public offerings of moderator positions No super moderator or administrator should post threads offering moderator positions to the public; all moderators must be promoted and demoted individually. This is due to the smaller size of the staff following the previous public offering.
