I've been to restaurants that have advertised food as "American style" but never seen a difference really but most places I've been to abroad have a variety of restaurants that do a full english breakfast
Even if they're Chinese people running the restaurant, 9 times out of 10, it's "westernised" Chinese food.
I've been to an authentic Chinese restaurant, and the food was absolutely amazing compared to the normal garbage most of the "Chinese" restaurants sell.

There are American restaurants, I believeeee. When I went to Barcelona earlier in the year we ate in a restaurant there called Hollywood or something, and it was apparently American food etc. Mainly sold burgers.
American restaurants? Mostly chains, such as T.G.I. Friday, Frankie and Bennie's, and all the fast food restaurants. They don't ever refer to their cuisine as American, though.
Yeah, that's my point. I mean, I like the stuff that the "Chinese" restaurants sell (or at least, some of it) so it's not really a criticism. Can't say I've ever had genuine Chinese food though, so I don't know how it compares.

Obesity is the culture America has spread around the world.
that is the truth. and with the economy like it is, it is alot cheaper to go to mcdonalds and buy $1 mcdoubles than it is to actually buy healthy food and cook it yourself...

Eh, probably because American Cuisine is pretty boring.
xeta actually makes a lot of sense most of the time
if everyone agreed with him more often we wouldnt have this problem
Apparently most "Chinese food" doesn't really resemble what they actually eat in China...

Genuine Chinese food is in a class of it's own.
Sure, the "westernised" stuff tastes alright, but the real thing is 100x better.
