In the future please try to make your topics a little more specific, it's better we have multiple topics then one large chat one within the TV&Film forum.
I think people recognize her more as Meg from Family Guy now, but yeah, same girl.
I wouldn't say it's a weak summer for superhero movies considering how many there were. I'm not saying quantity > quality, but you get my point. Plus I've only heard good things from anyone about X-Men. A friend of mine really liked Captain America, or at least seeing it on a big screen, he said. I guess if you want to watch that one, don't wait for the DVD/Blu-ray unless you have a really nice TV.
yeah jackie is meg i just realized it too, i havent really paid attention to it. and captain america looked really cool. those superhero movies so werent awful. iron man + 2, amazing, x-men, havent seen it but looked really cool. green lantern i no ws amazing. and the smurfs should be so funny, i mean think back to the classics.
and u no when u do that thing when it shows the name and then what he said like a compare thing? how do you do that?
The Smurfs doesn't look the slightest bit like the original cartoon. It's a dumbed down, crude "comedy" for 8-year-olds starring little blue CGI men, and Katy Perry. Replacing profanities with "smurf" like they do ten times in every TV spot ever stopped being funny years ago.
I could go on, and I was never even a particular fan of the cartoon. If you want a nostalgic movie done right, see Winnie the Pooh.

I've heard it was quite good from more people than I've heard say it was bad. That said I do feel a slight bit of trepidation seeing it as at the back of my mind I don't think it will be very good but I suppose there is only one way to find out.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on witnessing pure perfection!
