Right now, Hurricane Irene is currently hammering the Bahamas, and is heading to the coast of North Carolina. Already, 200,000 people are being evacuated from the coast. From NC, Irene is expected to move up the east coast, hitting Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston. And me.
Track the movements here.

Good luck fellow people on the east coast.

Planning on doing anything to "storm proof" your house? Have any other experiences with hurricanes?

|: I moved to Florida back in 2004 when three hurricanes were projected to hit Florida. I moved here from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The only tropical system I remember receiving was Tropical Storm Floyd who brought a crapton of rain. Irene was planned to hit Florida. I got excited. It moved away, so we're only getting large waves. I am disappoint.

Forgot I had this tag.

I'm also torn between Red and Green from Super Effective.
People kept asking me for minecraft skins. I now tell them to go to my website to request them.

I'm in Cumberland County NJ, and we just got a foot of rain and major flooding from rains a week ago. And it's raining today. The gov't is already evacuating Cape May County, which is about 30 miles south of me. I'm 40 minutes from the coast and pretty cose to the Delaware Bay too. Hope I don't get hit too hard.

Well Jersey usually has very good weather compared to some places, the last major hurricane to hit here was 1985, Hurricane Gloria, AFAIK.

Threat Level: Extreme FFUUUUUUUUU

Is it just me, or are all "male" hurricanes total pussies? I never hear about them on the news.

Anyway, I've no need to worry about any kind of storms here in the Rocky Mountains.

Run on, girl, run on.

Seems that way. recently I guess.

Statistics show otherwise, though.

They've told Brigantine residents to clear out tomorrow morning, which means I have to get all my stuff packed to move up north in the morning. I'll be staying at my mother's house west of Philadelphia.

I was vacationing in Wildwood, NJ, and there will be a mandatory evacuation tomorrow at 8 A.M. We decided to leave tonight though, so I am in the car on the 4-5 hour ride back to New York.
Thanks Craizen

I mean you really can't go wrong anywhere on the Jersey Shore, but I prefer Ocean City's boardwalk and beach. In Wildwood you have to walk so far just to get to the water. Glad you enjoyed your vacation though Smile

True, the beach is enormous, but my hotel was right there, I just had to cross the street to get to the beach, and go down the street about a 2-3 minute walk to get to the boardwalk.

As for the weather... we on the east coast just experienced the earthquake, and now the hurricane is coming through.
Thanks Craizen

Oh... I was sitting on the beach with my family, and it just felt like the earth shook back and forth a little. I don't know how it felt being in the hotel, my dad felt that.
Thanks Craizen
