*Anthas focused some energy into left hand which created a round aura around him. He then continued moving forward however the aura made him move much faster. Fast enough to keep up with Garrus. He then noticed the presence of Leila and her captors.*

"We aren't making much headway. I'd say the volcano is still...one, possibly two days out. I hope we can make it in time. What do you think?"
The Lycan stops for a breather. It seems the humidity was still more than high enough to rapidly drain his energy. He took a moment to use an old trick he'd learnt to drink the humidity right out if the air he breathed in. Lycan Fist, survival skills.

(I guess I should have worded that last part differently)

We will make it. We just have to keep moving.

Garrus continues to rehydrate himself with the moisture in the air. After several ,invites he stumbles forward and begins to claw a path out again, making a straight line towards the volcano.
"Let's go."

The planet was cooling down considerably as the night fell((I did mention it was night...)) and iridescent plants cast soft glows of blue,green,purple and orange. Touching them rubbed off a bit of their glow too, making the person bright. A light albeit warm breeze produced itself, making sure the place didn't cool off too much. And of course, the obvious predator night life roamed, and growls and sounds of animals fighting for food could be heard. A group of panthers, black as night crept silently around the two, aroused by Garru's form and need for fresh prey.

Leila had drifted off to sleep and awoke to the same slow procession as before, and herself still upside down. The woman from before was there now, watching her with a deep stare.

"What do you want? Or better yet, why don't you help me?"

"Last person who did ended up in the volcano..." she said in her small voice. "We decided...or at least those they captured before the animals got to them, to just elect one person. One horridly cursed person."

"How many others?" Leila ventured.

"They keep thirty of us, mostly females, to produce more sacrifices. Refusal is met with them using their voodoo...the things they have put us through to appease a thing of nature."

Leila stayed silent, absorbing this. If she survived, she was going to have some work to do.


The giant humaniods roamed the night, families going to dinner, couples hitting the clubs. Then there was the odder things, thrill seekers base jumping off roofs and into black portals of energy that returned them to the same position. Fights would break out here and there, never to be broken off.

"Does it seem odd to you that there doesn't seem to be a lot of police here? It's like everyone can do anything they want." He kept looking at the massive building in the distance, wondering what it was for.

"And we should def check that out. But first, I'm starved...Or at least I think I am."

Garrus turned his head towards the panthers. Now that things had cooled off his senses and reaction time had returned to their peak. He let loose a ferocious howl to the skies, which echoed for miles and miles across the land. His arms were glowing brightly, since they were the only things coming in contact with the plants. His muscles were tensed and he was ready for anything. He was distinctly aware of each and every single sound within a mile wide radius, isolating and identifying every sound as nature, prey, or predator. Like any other Lycan would in this situation, he was tracking everything around him as much as physically possible.

Not really waiting for Garm's response, he followed his nose and walked through some over sized doors into wait looked to him a little cafe. It proved right too, the heavy scent of coffe in the air, and of course sandwiches. Evidently, smaller guest visited all the time, for a set of hover lifter panels lifted him up to the stool for easy access.

The barrista asked him what he wanted.

"Ummm, mocha frappe?"

"One mocha frappe it is." He said, going to go make the drink.

"Oh thank goodness, mocha frappes still exist. Are you getting anything Garm?"

The panthers could sense Garrus as well he them, and the ten began to move into positions, climbing trees, slipping through bushes without a sound, fangs barred. The first one finally made it's appearance, it's fur evidently resistant to the plants glow. It growled, it's size about a half time larger than most cat's. It leaped straight at Garrus, claws extended, and strangely enough, at a very good arc for dodging. A second lept for the tree's at Anthas, silent as the wind and third from the front. The hunt was on.

"No, nothing. I'm fine."
Garm was being cautious since they didn't have any money at all. Besides that, the currency here couldn't be the same as that back on Earth, so he didn't want to be stuck with some deadly debt.
"And what about money, huh?"
The last bit he whispered, hoping the barrista wouldn't overhear.

Garrus ducked under it and slammed it to the side with one of his massive arms.
"I guess no one told these guys that dogs just love to chase cats."
He settles into a defensive stance, keeping his senses alert for any attacks.

*Anthas snickered slightly at Garrus's comment.*
Oh come on now there is no need cheesy one-liners.
*Anthas telekinetically stopped and threw the second panther at the third one.*

The third panther didn't even hesitate, using the levitated panther as a bounding platform to gain altitude on Anthas, taking a heavy claw slash at his face. A fourth one came up behind once again, slashing at his legs to try to bring him closer to their level.

The panther Garrus had hit was dazed, but not for long, it came, growling fiercely and charging at him, leaping and intending to bite him on his right arm. Two came up behind, one at an angle and charged at his left side, the other leaping up to either knock him down, or bite his neck, preferably both.

"I dunno...I still have my interplanetary credits loaded on my bank card. Who to say they don't still exist?"

His drink arrived, and he started to get his card out when the server stopped him.

"We have no need for money, not when everything is so easily replaced. Being outsiders, I guess let me be the first to welcome you to Multus, City of the Plentiful. Our science and technology have allowed us to create all that we need, placing reasonable limits of course. In doing this, we eliminated the ugly rat race that money created, and things have been much more peaceable since. In this way, it makes us easy to attract all, though most simply visit the Kro'Nas hall and leave."

Ziedi had been sipping his drink through all this, the familiar warmth relaxing him so. "So this Kro'Nas Hall, is it the large building that seems to dominate this place?"

"Yes, it is. It contains our complete history, and many visit it to adapt their inferior technologies to improve themselves. We Kroteans are proud race for this reason."

"Interesting...maybe we should go check it out Garm, seems harmless enough. And so, can I get a meatball sub?

The server gave him a look. "You actually like that exotic crap? You definitely aren't from around here." He said as he left to make the sandwich.

"Utopian society, huh? I wonder...that doesn't necessarily mean there aren't crimes...hm..."

Garm is suspicious of this Kro'Nas Hall, but if it could allow him to strengthen his BPE even further...he'd willingly go there.

"I wonder....maybe something there is similar to my BPE."

"Oh would you relax. We finally find a place half way normal and your suspicious, aren't you? He laughed, placing his hand behind his head and walking, observing the city.

The same barrista closed up shop after the two left, the rest of the patrons waiting for after hours. He dropped the metal sheeting to prevent break ins and motioned for the others to follow him into the back room. There were eight total in this group, and these meetings were occurring all over the city, simultaneously being held in conjunction with the master plan. He turned on a com and video link, connecting all of them.

"So gentlemen, how are we going along with the plans? Cysero?"

A heavy-set, but muscular person stood, his full heigth almost too high for the 25 foot ceilings. He wore a blaster on his arm; weapons were allowed as long as visible.

"Our stockades are filling up nicely, basically, we are waiting for the final food shipments, weapons are primed and combat trainers have been picked."

"I take it you are lead instructor?" The barrista, who's name was Warlic asked.

"Yes Sir. We already have all of the fifty squadrons trained."

"Good, we are already out numbered five to one, not counting the stragglers we'll most likely pick. We will need the best trained men we can get. Valencia, how is recon going?"

"Fine, Warlic. We have detailed plans of military training schedules, their attack strategies, and my team is working on how to over come this and use it to our advantage. Plus, our insider now escorts the Governor, so Alpha Plan is still intact."

"It doesn't matter if it's still intact, we switched to Beta, and you know this. We need that clueless old man alive along as possible."

"Do you really believe he's clueless?" Valencia ventured. "You would think he would know what is going on?"


Warlic almost hissed, he hated being doubted on points he made clear. "I've explained, according to your insider, it's his underlings creating the deals and running the money. You know Artix is to be trusted. Now, since our armies are trained, we instigate this at midnight. The food shipment should arrive before then right?"

Cysero nodded.

"Good. This insurrection is underway then..."


Ziedi walked into the Kro'Nas hall, the massive building laid out like a Museum. Displays and explanations of their technology lined the halls, with office buildings and even some live in spaces. The place was cast in a white glow((think star wars, the cone factors)). All types of races of the world were wandering about, some just visitors, some here to adapt technology. The ceilings seemed to stretch for miles, and looked like the opened up.

"Woooowww. Amazing. Let's go find someone for your BPE Garm."

Leila's convoy was almost at the base of the volcano, its heat easily felt.

Better try getting away now... she thought to herself, before she felt a shock and her body went limp.

The panthers all attacked now, shredding at the two with their claws, a light beast cornered with no intent of giving up.

Something just isn't right about all this....
Garm just couldn't shake the uneasy feeling as they proceeded through the Kro'Nas Hall.
See anything Ziedi?
His eyes were roaming across everything, seeking out any connections to his BPE, though not finding any yet.

Garrus began to spin rapidly, like a top.
"Lycan Fist: Hurricane Slash."
He slammed his furred fists into the panthes as they came into range, slashing them with his claws.
"HA! Eat that, you stupid cats!"

"Would you just relax for the moment, we obviously aren't going to get in any trouble right now." He glanced around too, stopping at an advanced, or what was advnaced weapon rack. A large gun, similar to theBouncer was being displayed, except it's casing was all in black. The inscription read Disruptive Black Hole Generator, but the video showe something similar to Garm's evergy.

"Hey, come check this out, it sorta looks like your BPE." As Ziedi called out, a two important looking officials passed in front of Garm. A few scraps of their conversation could be heard.

..."Rebels are planning....big."

...."Governor? Does.....

....You know.....no. Business to attend too."

They moved quickly speaking quietly and comletely igonoring everyone else, as they seemed to part for them.

"Yeah, it does. Hm...strange. For all their advancements, it seems that they haven't figured out how to grante the ability to manipulate the energy freely with one's mind, like my parents did...and yet here they have a weapon based upon the same principles.
Tucking the vague words he'd overheard the two officials saying away for the moment, not trusting their safety if they were to mention those words in such a likely monitored area, he watches the video closely.
"Looks like they only recently uncovered BPE. Humph. Amateurs. This probably is too dangerous to use under normal circumstances due to the blast radius and after effects of generating a black hole, especially without taking into account the gravitational fields of the planet.."
Garm is muttering the scientific flaws he notices in the weapon's design, despite it being functional and practical.
"I wonder how deeply invested in BPE their researchers are..."

"Hahha, well, it is a relic you know, we should really add a sign for once. But for most, it's still ahead of their time, not for sale you know."

A museum employee had finally arrived, or after watching them for a bit. "Yep, that relic caused quite a bit of damage in the Obani Moon Wars, nearly sucked in the system itself, we've greatly reduced the technolgy now into forms, portable and inherited."

He held out of his palm, a small backwards rings on one of his fingers. "This is the poratable, need for quick security, or mainly what this model is, fun and transportation. We have another level used for combat, and then yes, or most deadly, the inherited. Would you like a demonstration?"

"I would. Very much in fact."
Garm wonders if the museum employee overheard his comment about his parents. He decides to wait and see if the man brings it up.
"What do your people call the energy they generate, out of curiosity?"


Garrus stops spinning, surveying the panthers he'd sent flying with his attack.
"What, that all? Whatever. Hurry up Anthas, we should get a move on."

"We call it Molecular Adaption Energy, Or M.A.E((My)). The name is also in symbolization of Mae Henson, one of the first Naturals, who helped us adapt the energy. It truly is marvelous isn't it? After the wars that was, that was a bloody mess, and hope it never comes to that again. It's been refined and controlled now, but it's still dangerous. It nearly destroyed a hole star system before we created the enzyme to to stop it."

He stopped, releasing and controlling a little of the energy. "Now it's harmless, at least in it's current form. The highest level as mentioned is still dangerous."

He threw the MAE he was holding at the wall, it formed into a door, revealing what was on the other side. "This is our transport version, the Molecular Adaption area. It's increased security and eliminated the need for doors in high security places, as we can customize it to specific energy signatures."

"So this stuff is like a child's toy and for security? What kind of boguesness is that?

"Ahhh, correct. But this is simple level one." He snapped, and someone brought him another one of the small devices, except different in color.

"This is level two, personal defense. If I may?" He said, looking at Ziedi.

"You may." He said, bracing himself.

He threw a little of the energy at Ziedi, and he went backwards just a bit, the energy messing with his center of gravity. He got back, surprised.

"Interesting, tell us more.

"Certainly." And he continued on.

The men from before had entered the Governor's quarters, and turned of the cameras.

"Those damn rebels may ruin our plan before it even begins."

"Calm down Xan, it will be alright. As long as we can control them for a few more days, all will be alright."

Xan looked at him. "And what if we can't Noxus? What then? We lose our bid for power. I say we reveal their plotting tonight, and take military action, usurping, or better yet killing the old man in the process."

Noctus huffed. "Relax, all will go as planned. Acting too soon will ruin th-"

"YOU THINK I DON"T UNDERSTAND THAT? It's not too soon, it's now. If our dealings are revelealed to the governor, we are as good as DEAD! Let's act now."

Noxus was quiet for a second. "Fine...We will instigate tonight and have Slugwrath out of office by the morning. Happy?"

"Quite."

A few hours later, Warlic and his crew were in the tunnels they had been digging.

"Are in we in position Cysero?"

There was silence, then a crackle of radio. "Yeah boss, charges are set. And why do we have to use these ancient things."

"Because! No one tracks them anymore, a great benefit them for us. Now..Valencia, hit the switch on my command."

"Yes Sir!" she replied.

Warlic took time to savor the moment. It was happening. "Now."

The sound of several explosions taking down buildings could be heard, and felt, everywhere. Shaking even the great Kro'Nas Hall.

Xan and Noxus stood up, worried looks on their face. "We may have waited too long." And they took off, making calls as they rallied troops."

The panthers backed off finally, realizing the strength the faced was too much. Plus, the smelled the Kokobaru.

Leila felt footsteps and woke up, noticing her transports were scrambling for cover.

"What's going on?" she asked, being bumped around rudely.

"Kokobaru ."


"And that is? Explain things!" she said harshly.

"The great beast of the land, not even the locals like to mess with them. The horrid creation of rock and beast."

Behind the two, thundering footsteps could be be heard, and glowing eyes plus plants looked like they were walking towards. Apparently, they had crawled right over it.

Garrus starts sprinting for the volcano on all fours, taking advantage of his regeneration to ignore the need to clear a path. He also runs on the sides of the trees, leaping between them to get more distance. He listens carefully to make sure Anthas is following.


Garm had remained silent after hearing the word Natural, listening until the end when the explosions rocked the structure.
"And is that an example of what happens when someone misuses the highest level? Or does that refer to the Naturals you mentioned before? And would you consider someone like me dangerous if I had complete mastery of manipulating this energy?"
Garm is assessing the risks of outright saying he can use the BPE or MAE, whichever the preferred name was. It didn't change the fact that his very biochemistry was geared towards the manipulation and connection with the energy that exists at the very base level of matter and antimatter, the point where the two are one.
