Not if you're disciplined. If you don't feel you're doing something right, look up an answer (or technique, which is probably the answer) online. It's that simple.

Well, I like to think I'm relatively disciplined. Kind of an OCD/Perfectionist person, so I'd probably do alright with 'correctly' teaching myself.
The biggest problem for me is the motivation and procrastination. I'm overly lazy and I get distracted too easily.

I have my guitar class at the end of the day, so I tend to skip the class so I can go home early. He doesn't really care. Sometimes he even counts me as 'present' in the class, instead of saying I'm absent. xD
