In the world of Forever, none of those who live there know its origins, the belief within all that it has existed even before the creation of life. Pondering of thoughts arose from time to time, as it was only human nature to question. But the masses were only content to be able to live for the day that is tomorrow. They believed that they only needed to know two truths regarding their world; that it was full of danger and hardship, but also full of hope, happiness and prosperity, and that if you looked hard enough, you'd find it.

These two truths are what brought a young man to begin a journey that will take him across the continents in the hopes of finding a cure for his mother's sickness. Wielding a remnant of an advanced civilization swallowed by the tides of time, Geoff Apalis will stop at nothing before freeing his mother of the ailment branded the 'curse from the gods'. He cuts down any obstacle in his path with said remnant, a sword of light, together with his traveling companion and guide, Thistle, a living mechanical construct in the shape of a young woman tied in origin with his sword. Destiny holding countless strings of sanguine red upon him and his companions, will he discover the beginnings of Forever, or its ultimate end?

History :

Five main races;

Human, with a will tougher than steel, the strength of heart to continue fighting, and fearsome in not being able to comprehend, restrain nor predict. Their persistence and endurance as well as adaptivity and shrewdness make them a dangerous foe. Often do humans raise conflict after one another due to differing beliefs and opinions, but unity is their strong point, along with their natural leadership. Flawed as they are strong, humans make up the majority of the inhabitants of Forever.

Kindred, human-like race that wield psychic powers, kind-hearted by nature and love peace but not against combat to defend oneself or others. Prone to believing in a greater sense of good, and can either be quite naive or very steadfast in beliefs. Psychic abilities are not limited to only telekinesis, prophesy and telepathy, but also pyrokinesis and the like, creating illusions, mind control, and force fields.

Majin, 'protectors of the land' that live in recluse as whole villages within forests and in mountains but are civilized and are beginning to approach other civilizations in interest, human-like but with distinguishing pointed ears and dark gray skin as well as slanted eyes, making their thoughts hard to read. Stealth and speed is their strong point, further excelled by their ability to communicate with the land. Fighters by instinct with quick reflexes and sharp senses, most of them who leave their villages live as assassins and warriors for hire. Prone to staying neutral in conflict, but will retaliate if they or the land is beckoned with harm.

Animus, another kin of man, but one with the ability to transform into a beast of their choosing from memory, granting them great strength and varying abilities like breathing fire. Though most Animus can only transform into one or two types of beasts throughout their lifetime, some have exceeded the limit placed by gaining enough strength to overcome the mental and physical stress required to transform and have been able to turn into countless kinds of creatures. Once held with prejudice by the humans, even though such a time has passed, some still frown upon the Animus, creating a tension between the two races from time to time.

Magi, more commonly known as wizards or witches, this also human-like race has the ability to control their life forces and influence their surroundings. Their power of magic is similar to the Kindred's psychic powers, but are not the same. Their arsenal of abilities are more abstract; from healing to fireballs to beams of laser, they are not limited to only a few magic but are capable of learning all of them, given they have enough mental capacity and strength as well as sufficient life force. Having the smallest numbers in Forever due to a purge years past, they are viewed of as being geniuses.

Other races are allowed for use, and it'll be better if you have a simple and short description about that race ready.

Guns exist mainly in the form of flintlocks and muskets, with bows and older projectiles more widely used still. But revolvers and the like may exist too. Swords, axes, and lances and the like are the main weaponry of Forever's current age. Wooden ships and horse carts are two transportation used all over in Forever, but hot air balloons and newly built sky ships also exist, though rare.

Please control only one character; yours and not others (except if need be). Two characters maximum; but I'll have to see first. I'll control three characters, though.

Well...

Name : Geoff Apalis
Gender : Male
Age : 20
Race : Human
Height : 6'0"
Weight : 198 lbs
Appearance : Medium black hair, a clean shaven young man's face with no other notable features besides his dark blue eyes of a strong look. Also, his right ear is missing, covered by a thick cloth put in place with bandages. Wears a dark blue overcoat with scaled plates on the inside providing good defence as well as agility. Under the overcoat is a light vest which is brown in color. He drapes his overcoat with a brown cloak with torn edges that is able to mediate his body temperature.
Personality : Has a strong sense of right and wrong, mostly due to his own experiences from dealing with the latter. Believes in the coherent goodness within people's hearts, also from his own experience. Although he knows the boundaries of one's heart, his trust in people is to the point of people calling him extremely naive. Although he is keen of his surroundings, he is prone to being reckless and charging in, especially if time calls for it. Respectful to the people he meets, even if they are his enemies, but won't think twice to punch them in the face for whatever reason deems necessary. Kind and caring, especially towards his mother and his friends. Seems to have no qualms killing his enemies, but feels disturbed by such a fact about himself.
Equipment : A single weapon, and nothing else. That weapon is a sword's hilt made out of durable metal that is like gold but darker. The hilt is laden with intricate markings and patterns, but is comfortable to the grip. What's special about the hilt is that it can release a blade of vermilion light, giving it the moniker 'Lantern Sword'. It is able to cut through virtually anything. The blade of light is released at his command, but only if he holds it. The length differs, but it seems that it can grow longer the stronger Geoff's will is. Strangely, nobody else can use the hilt but Geoff, not even Thistle who has relation to the weapon.
Abilities : Sword skills are top notch, also good at hunting and tracking. Quick on his feet and reflexes to almost match a Majin's own. Fist fights are rather easy for him, thanks to his years as a rebel. Doesn't know how to handle firearms nor bows, so sticks with melee weapons.
History : Lost his father in a mine accident when he was young. His father never wanted him to be a miner, but despite the tragedy, he is still torn apart at either following his father's footsteps or becoming what he always wanted to be - an adventurer. Though, his mother finally put him in an academy for great minds when he was a teenager. Geoff started to show signs of a rebel, and became a hoodlum in the academy, beginning to ignore both his studies... and his mother. When she fell sick, he felt that it was his fault. Now he's decided to atone for his actions and find a cure for his mother's mysterious ailment, believing that the technology behind his Lantern Sword would produce such a cure.

Name : Thistle
Gender : Female
Age : ???
Race : ??? (Mechanical person?)
Height : 5'7"
Weight : 150 lbs
Appearance : Fitted in strange clothing, Thistle has a pretty face with smooth skin and orange hair. Her eyes are dark orange. On her left shoulder, which is covered by her gauntlet, are three holes grouped together. (Looks like this girl)
Personality : Cheery, perky and happy-go-lucky most of the time, Thistle can be strong and serious when needed to. She enjoys even the simplest of things that pique her interest. She doesn't know anything about the world of Forever, only recently 'awakened' by Geoff. She is very protective of him, even though she knows he doesn't need it. Is very naive, and straight-forward at times. Almost too reliant on Geoff at times, and she realizes it, feeling guilty about it. But if she ever finds herself doing a mistake, she quickly does her best to make up to it, and makes doing so her top priority. Because of this, anyone trying to stop her from doing this might trigger her Rage Mode. Knows her responsibility as a lead to the cure for Geoff's mother.
Equipment : Improvises, takes any weapon around her, or just snatches if from her enemies. Most of the time, she uses her powerful hands and legs. She is fluent in combat, defeating most enemies and beasts effortlessly, but can never seem to beat Geoff.
Abilities : Superhuman strength and speed, as well as occasional extra-over sensory perception, enabling her to sense her enemy's attacks before they are launched. She also has the dangerous Rage Mode, where her overall power is upped tenfold, but at the cost of her conscience and sense.
History : Awakened by Geoff at the time he found his Lantern Sword. Fought Geoff with the claim that he was stealing the sword, which seemed to imply that she was made to guard the weapon. Defeated when Geoff activates said sword, but he explains everything to her, and after having been repaired by a scientist who knows Geoff, she now travels alongside him, as his companion and guide.

Name : Great Shakes The V (fifth)[special character]
Gender : Male
Age : 30+ (unknown?)
Race : Human
Height : ??? (not revealed, but taller than most around him)
Weight : ???
Appearance : Long, messy red hair with an unshaven chin as well as an eye patch covering his left eye. Muscular, but not big build or stocky. Has a row of sharp shark-like teeth that frighten a lot of people even though he thinks is attracts the women and a scar in the shape of an 'x' across his chest, but only a bit of the top left line is seen when he wears his shirt. Outfit and... I guess mostly everything is like this guy here , but in real form.
Personality : Most, if not all the traits and characteristics of a rum-buckling pirate. Including being loud, puts money, gold and riches in front of everything as well as being a ladies' man. Not dirty and bedraggled like the usual pirate - he won't get the ladies' eyes. Quite the scoundrel, and won't think twice about betraying a contract or deal if it means he gets the most out of it. When he gets extremely drunk, though, he turns into the very opposite of his usual self - silent, quiet, and remorseful, almost to the point of sobbing when he thinks about his current life. It doesn't remain, though. Likes to spout profanities, but due to a curse inflicted on him by an old lady that was actually a Magi, any profanity that comes out his mouth comes as a bleep . Behind his personality, Shakes actually has respect and great care for the elderly. Also, prefers to talk his mind and be honest.
Equipment : A cutlass with a wider blade and a golden handle (refer pic above) with a scabbard to match. Also wields a flintlock pistol with matching design and colors to his outfit, custom made. Also carries around a special steam-powered grappling hook, just in case.
Abilities : Great skill with the sword, a master with the sleight of hand, also capable in unarmed fighting, but his weakest point is his accuracy at long range shooting. Even though his flintlock was designed for shooting at long distances, he practically fumbles with it. He only uses the gun for close to mid range attacks. His balance is also problematic.
History : A hardened pirate from the seas to the southwest, Great Shakes is his actual name. The generations of his family before him had been adventurers, but he preferred the ocean. After years of embezzling, stealing, and double-crossing, he finally got his own ship and traveled the straits and islands surrounding his home continent for years. But an attack by a giant sea monster sent his ship down to the abyss along with his crew and all his possessions. He survived, however, and has been looking for his big break since.

Name : Garm Plasmal
Gender : Male
Age : 19
Race : Animus (Suffers from rare Animus-only genetic disorder)
Height : 6'0 (usually increases by about three inches when in panther form)
Weight : 187 lbs (remains same even when in transformed state due to genetic disorder.)
Appearance : Garm has a total of three appearances:
Ordinary Animus: Black medium length hair, green dragon-like eyes, tanned skin and a face that seems strangely reminiscent of a dragon. He wears a sleeveless black shirt and long black pants that never seem to get destroyed. For some reason, there is a half-circle cut in the top of the back of the pants. Has a red scarf covering the lower half of his face. He wears a pair of worn black sandals on his feet. He has no facial hair, nor does any grow, and A muscular build.
Panther Form: Think werewolf, but a panther instead. The scarf is still there, as are his pants and shirt. His cat-like paws, which replace his feet, slip easily out of the sandals without breaking them. His eyes remain the same as well. His hands become clawed panther paws, but retain the dexterity of a human hand. Claws are retractable. Tail grows in space where half-circle is on top of back of pants.
Fire Dragon Form: His skin becomes red dragon scales and his ears disappear. His hair turns bright red and morphs into a large number if small spikes sticking out if his head, like those on the back of an actual dragon. His shirt is ripped to shreds by the wings that grow from his back and his sandal straps break as his feet, like his hands, turn into Dragon claws. He has a tail which grows in the space where the half-circle cut from the top of the back of his pants is. The red scarf remains untouched, but he usually pulls it down to breath fire.
Personality : Garm has a strong sense of justice and no aversion to killing. He always ignores the looks he gets from both humans, due to his being an animus, and the ones he gets from the animus, for his genetic disorder. Though he rarely gives voice to it, he hates it when others are treated with prejudice and fear. He tends to observe others with an uncomfortable interest when first meeting them out of habitual self-defense. He is used to being an outcast, and has lived as one for his entire life.
Equipment : his two transformations, and not much else. He carries a hunting knife, but that's just for cleaning any animals he hunts before cooking them. He carries an expert lock picking set at all times, even go so far as to conceal extra lock picks in the soles of his sandals.
Abilities : as a result if his genetic disorder, "Animi", he possesses the senses and physical capabilities of his transformations at half strength when in his natural form. He can change only partially into a fire dragon or a great panther. This has it's advantages and disadvantages, but he can still breath fire and such. His lifespan is also that of his first transformation's; in other words, he could live as long a life as a fire dragon. Also, his natural form bears features that are reminiscent if a dragon as a side-effect. His genetic disorder also enables him to do weak, 3/4 strength partial transformations, like just the claws of a dragon, or panther feet.
History : Garm was, by age ten, an orphaned animus, exiled because he was born with a genetic disorder, left to die in the wilderness, meant to die in the wilderness. However, after catching a glimpse of a dragon, a fire dragon, up close, he was able to teach himself how to survive. He eventually also gained the panther form after nearly dying in the claws of a Great Panther, an abnormally large panther. Eventually, he joined the ranks of the homeless in the streets of the citys and towns he was near and took up nomadic traveling, aiding anyone who needed his help. Even if they were prejudiced, backstabbing humans who would sooner leave him to die than help him save their own skins. He is currently looking for something more to life, some meaning to his flawed existence that would justify his suffering and his genetic disorder.

Name: Night S. Mare
Gender: Male
Age: 8 (looks that age but actual age is unknown)
Race: Magi
Height: 3'11"
Weight: 110
Appearance:This guy here Except with a blood red eye, the other is covered up by a piece of cloth, and is much shorter and younger looking. Wears a heavy assassin like cloak with hood normally up covering his face.
Personality: Quiet and shy at first but will warm up and become friendly and talkative to those around him. Has no morals whatsoever, everything from mass genocide to sacrifice to save a loved one is exactly the same to him. listens when people are talking and is very intelligent, holds no hate toward any race. Tends not to get attached to people as he normally doesn't stay in one place for long, but when he does get attached he becomes extremely protective of them.
Equipment: One katana that is always at his side, a wierd looking golden revolver, around 20 throwing knives, and a long bow hidden in his cloak.
Abilities: Proficient with many weapons but sticks to those that he has. Is a genius in battle and with a sword. Excellent aim with both bow, gun, and throwing knives. Good at picking locks and being stealthy. Has extreme endurance. As for magic he is very wide versed being able to use almost all types at atleast the most basic of levels but sticks to fire based, summoning, and a more darker necromancy type. Summoning is like bringing out mythical beasts, like pheonixes to assist him in fights and necromancy is temporarily reviving dead.
History: Travels around with no one but his best friend, a raven that is always with him. Has been like this for as long as he can remember. He was born in a far away country across the sea. His memory is somewhat fuzzy so he doesn't recall everything from before he crossed the sea. Visited alot of different races' civilzations and learned about them.

((pengy really likes the name garm as i like the name night. Okay 1:2 that is my character and is it alright if i make a second one?))

((pengy, your character is accepted, but I see a strange thing in your post. It says that Garm conceals extra pick locks in his boot, but I thought he wore sandals? anyway, just clear that up and you're good to go. Any thoughts on making a second character?))

((night, I see that your character's age is 8, but I'm sure it's just a typo, and that he's 18. Your character is accepted but can you explain the uses he has for necromancy? It's because that in Forever dealing with the afterlife in anyway except communicating is shunned and considered forbidden and yes you can make a second character))

((nope 8 was correct. as I mentioned that his actual age is unknown too. No typo though I meant to put in 4'11" for the hieght. As for necromancy he can bring back to life some dead person and make them answer questions or make a skeleton fight for him. Not like raise a bunch of zombies. Though he doesn't use it alot.))

Character 2

Name: Cassandra (Cassy)
Gender: Female

I didn't get that bit there. well, night is accepted, and the bit about asking dead men questions is good. and aha, I kinda knew your second character would be Cassandra. well, it'd be interesting to see her relationship with night, her role and how she and him grows in the future, so accepted.))

(Yeah, I suppose so. Its something that just came to me. Mute magi.)

Name : Erika Shailes
Gender : Female
Age : 18
Race : Magi
Height : 5'7"
Weight : 150 lbs
Appearance : long red hair, sparkling blue eyes, and snow white skin. She always wears a sky blue cloak, a tall hat of the same color, and a dark blue sleeveless dress with black stockings and dark blue high-heeled boots. She also wears dark blue gloves that cover her arms up entirely. She has lipstick which matches her hair. She always carries a messenger bag as well, which doesn't seem to have a limit to how much it can hold. She has a magic staff with a green gem and a blue gem embedded in the top.
Personality : She is a very shy and humble witch with strong feelings for her precious Garm. She is very overprotective and territorial when it comes to matters involving Garm and another girl...or on occasion another guy. She's the type who would smile and stab you to death if you tried to make a move on him. She is also a very cheerful girl when she knows that she is in a situation where fun is allowed, or simply when she's alone with Garm. If she is separated from him for any reason, she starts to either cry or fight people if they are trying to forcefully separate him.
Equipment : A staff with a blue gem and a green gem embedded in the top. It enhances her magic tenfold when her emotions reach a fever pitch. She also has a classic broomstick, a wand for small spells, like simple repairs or cleaning, and a heart shaped locket that enables her to telepathically communicate with Garm, and Garm alone.
Abilities : Primarily uses powerful wind and water magic. She can also use standard housekeeping magic, like cleaning, repairing broken dishes and such, cooking, laundry, etc. She can use other elemental magic too, but she prefers not to do so. She also has telepathy exclusively with Garm and can use her magic without incantations
History : She was born mute, a great disadvantage in the world of Magi normally, but developed the ability to cast magic without the need for incantations. Her family was killed by a Magi serial killer. Garm saved her from him, and since then she's been in love with him and travels with him everywhere he goes. Sometimes, depending on the city, she's even pretended to be his employer. He gave her the locket that lets them communicate telepathically because he wanted her to be able to tell him what was on her mind, directly. She has yet to let Garm know how she feels about him though.

Name : Fheren
Gender : Male
Age : 22
Race : Majin
Height : 6'0"
Weight : 176 lbs
Appearance : Fheren appears as most Majin with thin eyes and pointed ears. He has dark green eyes which are flecked with specks of brown and shaggy brown hair. He is averagely built, with slightly narrow shoulders and lithe muscle corded on his arms and legs. He often moves in a crouch and stays close to the earth, in order to listen more closely. Because of his stance, he appears smaller than he is, however at full height he can appear almost imposing. He carries a bow slung across his back and a quiver of arrows at his belt. Opposite his quiver are two daggers. Various tools line his belt as well, a knife and hammer to craft arrows in the case that he runs out, extra bowstring, a small whetstone and assorted other odds and ends in case of an emergency. Around his neck he wears a curved tooth on a rope. He wears what appears to be a simple tunic, but its unique pattern allows him to blend into his surroundings in the forest. He wears light shoes on his feet that allow him to move quietly and quickly.
Personality : Fheren is quiet and reserved, although not shy per say. Rather, he tends not to vocalize his emotions, instead unleashing a torrent of yelling and cursing inside his carefully guarded mind when he is angry. His anger is often translated into a deadly flick of his wrist to release a knife and he can tend to be somewhat of a loose cannon. However he can control his emotions if he needs to. His personality tends to turn calmer when he is near wildlife, in a forest for example. He can be trusted, however, and he rarely breaks his word. He has no desire for material comforts nor is he tempted by worldly possessions.
Equipment : Fheren carries a longbow, two daggers a few throwing knives and an assortment of tools. His bow is very large and, when held with an arrow notched, reaches from his lower thighs to just above his head. It is extremely light, and made with a wood that is incredibly flexible. He uses every ounce of his strength when he draws it and an arrow loosed from its string can pierce most armor at incredible ranges. The arrows that lie in the quiver at his belt are made of an aerodynamic wood that is heavier toward the feathers, so as to balance out the stone head. His quiver contains several different arrows, each type marked by a unique feather color. Brown are normal, armor piercing arrows with heavy heads that often crush armor beneath them. Green are tipped with poison and are meant for targets at shorter range in order to create a distraction or kill after a certain amount of time. Red are lightweight arrows that are meant for distance, they have just enough weight on them to travel straight and are often used to fire ropes from one point to another. Blue are broad tipped arrows, meant to deal maximum damage at short ranges. His daggers are not identical, however when wielded at the same time, they compliment each other perfectly. One is serrated and ideal for inflicting damage once it pierces the enemy's skin, while the other is sharp and good for clean cuts. The hilt of each is wrapped in a simple cloth, stained with sweat and blood from years of use.
Abilities : Fheren is a master marksman and is proficient with both a bow and throwing knives. He can be almost soundless when he is crouched and sneaking and can blend in with the forest, especially if he is not moving. He has a special connection with the earth that is even stronger than most Majin and his awareness stretches into those living things connected to it, namely plants. He can shroud himself in a forest or manipulate its inhabitants to attack a pursuer. He guards his emotions and thoughts carefully and does not allow himself to become subject to the influence of others. He is in good shape and can run for extended periods of time at a moderate pace. He can move and lift heavier things than his size would suggest, and he is especially talented at concentrating all of his energy into the specific muscles necessary to perform a certain task. He also has a modest ability at crafting arrows and other such woodworking skills.
History : Fheren was the lone survivor of an attack on his small community when he was a very young boy. To save his life, his mother had hidden him in a small thicket of branches and used her modest abilities with the land to mark the spot as uninteresting so their attackers would not find him. He had carefully hidden, as he was told and when the danger had passed, he cried and cried, allowing his rage and sadness to overwhelm him and pour out of him. At that moment, he felt a strong force from the earth, as if it were comforting him. Since then, he lived in the forest and lived off whatever he could forage, and later hunt. The forest began to know him and it too opened its spirit up to his influence. He became aware of every subtle change in the foliage and soon learned to manipulate these changes, masking his movements as those of a squirrel through the undergrowth. In addition to providing him with fruits and berries, the forest allowed him to feel the presence of birds in its trees, or small game rushing through the bushes underfoot. He made a crude bow and some arrows and slowly but surely, with much practice, learned to wield them. He did not have contact with any sentient beings until he felt a large presence one day on the edge of the forest. He made his way there and found a lone traveler, lost and hungry. He carefully urged the earth to direct the man to a safe alcove, sheltered from the weather and with plenty of food. He remained watching over the man, who regained his strength and left, moving onward. Curious, Fheren followed. The pointed eared man with nothing to his name but the clothes on his back, a strange necklace he had since birth, a bow and some arrows made his way on the road toward human civilization.

((pengy's 2nd character is accepted, as with yogi's character. I guess it's time to start))

FOREVER - THE ENDLESS WORLD

The morning sun shone bright, but the air was cool in the lands of Noboru in the east.

"Here you are. The town of Shukusai." spoke the middle-aged human carter, his straw hat hiding most of the features of his face as he turned to look over his shoulder at the young man and his companion pushing themselves over and off the edge of his wooden cart.
The young man's feet landed on the partly grassy ground with a thud. His female companion's feet made less of a sound. The young man took off the straw hat lent to him by the carter to get a better view of the oriental town. A single, wide street where people walked in both directions and surrounded by rows of wooden houses and buildings on both sides greeted him from outside the main entrance, across a small field of grass that ended at the boundary of the first buildings, while from the main street onwards were only dirt. He looked to the left, then turned to look to his right, finding that the outer walls stretched for a mile or so. To be honest, he was beginning to doubt that it was merely a town.
"Thanks for the lift, and for letting us borrow these hats." the young man spoke, turning to face the middle-aged cart driver, reaching out to hand over the straw hat to the man as people walked past him to enter the town.
"I do not mind it, young one." replied the cart driver, taking the hat and placing it back into the compartment behind his seat.
"Thistle, you can hand over the straw hat now, we..." the young man turned to find that his companion was no longer at his side. "Thistle...? Where'd she...?" Turning to look back at the carter, the old man pointed a finger in the direction of the town. The young man turned around to see Thistle kneeling down beside the small stream that passed through the small field of grass, dipping her hands into the running water, like a cat aiming for the fish. "Thistle!" he called out for her.
The young woman turned towards him, smiling with her mouth open and her eyes full of wonder. "Geoff-chan! There are beautiful fishes in here!" yelled the girl in a lively voice, waving at the young man, causing quite a number of heads to turn.

"...Well, she's managed to do it again. Every... single town..." Geoff placed his hand on his face, noticing the number of eyes that had taken a look at both Thistle and him, some of them with amused smiles while the rest with continued chatter.
"Haha! That's quite the lively friend you have there, Geoff-san." remarked the carter.
"...True, but I'd wished she hadn't taken such a liking to these honorifics..."
"Do not fret, Geoff-san. Our honorifics aim to develop bonds between people. You two will become closer than ever."
"Hmm... I guess I can get through with that at the end." replied Geoff, continuing to watch Thistle's acts beside the stream.
"Anyway, what was it that you said you came here for? If I recall, it wasn't the harvest festival?" asked the carter.
"No. I'm here... to meet an acquaintance. A friend told me that she could help with a task I need to complete."
"I see... Well, since you're here, I recommend you stay for the harvest festival. From the date, it should be held at midnight tonight. I've joined only once or twice, many years ago. It is quite the occasion, watashi no yujin. A quite jovial celebration, maybe even a once in a lifetime experience for travelers from across the sea such as you two. Many people consider it such, and because this town is placed in the middle of the region... people from all over Forever stop by here! What do you say?" the carter turned to face Geoff.
"I'll take your word for it... I might just have enough time to spend, but... I'll still have to wait and see." he replied.
"Alright, I must be on my way now."
"You're headed for the capital? Wait here for a second, I'll go get your straw hat from my friend..."
"Haha! No need to do so, friend. Consider it my humble gift to the lovely young lady." laughed the old man.
"...Thanks. Not just for the hat, but for the ride and all. Good luck getting to Shihon, and if the fates have it... maybe we'll meet again, eh Togoi-sama?"
"That sounds mighty fine...!" replied Togoi. "Until next time, Geoff-san!" and with that, the old cart driver commanded his horses to begin to move, and the cart moved along the dirt road, towards Togoi's next destination. It moved down a slant hill and vanished from sight the next moment. The moment the wooden cart vanished from sight, the smile on Geoff's face disappeared and turned to his usual serious look. He entered Shukusai and walked over to Thistle, who was still kneeling beside the river, eyes intently following the white and red fishes inside which had scales that glistened in the light.

"Come on, Thistle, time to get a move on." he spoke, to which Thistle immediately responded by standing up straight.
"Hmm...? Where's Togoi-sama? He already left? But I didn't get to wish him goodbye!"
"No need to. He sends his goodbye in the form of that straw hat hung around your neck."
"Really? Wow... thanks Togoi-sama!" she said, as if the carter was there to hear it. Geoff looked at her for a while, thinking about how much she's learned up until now. It's extremely hard to believe she's a mechanical being, given her way of acting.
"Let's visit the address given by Mr. Schnee. Mind leading the way?" asked Geoff.
"Of course not! I have it stored up in here all neat and tidy!" remarked Thistle, pointing at her head with her index finger.

The two began to walk towards the center of town, zigzagging through a large number of people walking to and fro both directions. Just as Togoi had said, Shukusai was a town full of people coming in from the different corners of Forever. All five races were there. Geoff caught sight of a group of Majins loitering in front of a closed shop house, which was a rare sight in his opinion. Unfortunately, he also caught sight of them eying both him and Thistle.

He could only hope that he and Thistle don't run into too much trouble in town.

((okay, a slow start for now. take a walk around town, talk about the harvest festival, your characters etc, etc. it'll go down soon, promise))

Almost as if on cue, meant to draw the majins' attention away from Thistle and Geoff, a red-haired, snow-white skinned and somewhat attractive 18 year old girl dressed in a sky blue cloak, dark sleeveless dress and black stockings, with dark blue gloves covering her arms, dark blue high-heeled boots and a dark blue witch's hat on, and a black-haired tanned guy wearing a sleeveless black shirt and long black pants which had a semicircle missing from the top of the back of them, with a red scarf coving the lower half of a face that seems to bring to mind a dragon and sandals on his feet. The girl was applying lipstick that matched her hair while the man, clearly some kind of bodyguard from the way she ignored him, carried a dark blue messenger bag for her. When she was done, she put the lipstick away and pulled a golden heart-shaped locket out of the bag, putting it on. When the two passed by Thistle and Geoff, it was obvious what they were: the girl was a Magi and the guy an Animus.

"I already said we could stay for the festival Erika, you don't need to give me that look."

The girl didn't seem to say anything but she latched onto his arm after taking the bag back. In fact, she didn't seem to be saying anything at all, but he was speaking to her like they were having a conversation. Many of the people in the streets stopped to watch them. Even the Majin turned their gaze to the suspicious duo. The townesfolk were wary of them. Strangely, they seemed more cautious of the girl than the guy, whose green dragon-like eyes were constantly staring down anyone who got too close for his liking. They appeared to be out for a walk and were heading towards the town gates. Erika wanted to go to a flower-filled field not far outside town. She'd spotted it on their way in earlier and she wanted to go see if there were any magical herbs mixed in. Surprisingly, Garm, the animus, was the one more interested in flowers of the two.

"I know, I know. The flower field right? It was really pretty...great, now the whole town's staring at us again. Looks like they're more afraid of you now, though. You didn't have to stand up for me. I can take care of myself..."
The look she gave him made him feel guilty about scolding her like that. She appeared to be tearing up.
"No, nononononononono! Don't cry, don't cry! I really do appreciate what you did, I just don't want people to be afraid of you too, that's all."
Erika held his arm a bit tighter, smiling. She knew how to manipulate him oh, so well.

Fheren approached the town quietly, sticking to the shadows and keeping his head down. However, his eyes were directed straight ahead, looking back and forth quickly, shocked at seeing so many people in one place. He soon noticed that each looked different, some were like himself, some like the man that he had rescued in the forest, some were entirely different. He felt strong vibrations from the earth about a mile away, out of sight. Another blasted cart, he concluded. He moved off to the side of the road, allowing enough room for the cart to pass without its passengers noticing him, he hoped. He created a distraction on the other side of the road near a stream, slight tremors in the earth, enticing people to go there.

The young Majin was approaching the town now and saw it buzzing with people. The cart rolled past him and came to a stop a few feet from the gate. Three people in straw hats got down, two men and a female. As the men were talking, the woman ran off happily to the stream. Fheren grinned, grateful that his plan worked. He walked past the stopped cart on the other side of the men, and slipped into the town. Immediately after stepping onto the cobblestones that appeared to make up the paths across the town, he lost the reassuring feel of the earth beneath his feet. He frowned and continued, walking down a side street and weaving his way through the city, increasingly frustrated that he could not find his way back using his surroundings. He eventually came out of the mess of streets and houses back at the way he had came in, he thought. His brows pinched together in frustration, he growled lightly. As Fheren peeked around the corner of a house, he found all of the people in the square staring at an odd couple leaving the town. The woman looked like many of those in the town, he decided, but the man was very different. He almost looked like a beast, like some sort of man-animal combination. Hiding as best as he could, the man of the forest followed after them and crouched low, continuing with them toward a field of flowers.

Night entered the town and saw the two groups of what he assumed couples to be, he watched the first group with mild interest but when the second couple appeared he left and followed after them. Finding the girl more interesting he followed after them, staying close enough to hear them but far enough away to stay our of sight. He quickly found out why his interest was piqued, either the guy was crazy or the girl was special. After a few seconds he takes his eyes off the couple to notice the stares he was getting from the townsfolk. Many were looking at him wierdly. A little boy with one eye covered and the other gleaming blood red from under his cloak and to top it all off he had a raven on his shoulder. He ignored the stares and countinued following the crazy Animus.

As they reached the flower field, he became sure of it. They were being followed by someone. Two someones.
A Majin, judging by the difficulty in detecting him. And a young Magi, not very stealthy Great. Wonder what these guys want. Hopefully they're just curious bystanders. Well, even amongst Animus, I look rather...animalistic. Draconic features sure do have their setbacks.
Taking advantage of his genetic disorder, he transformed the inside of his mouth, in case he needed to breath fire at this strange stalker. Erika took note and didn't acknowledge the possible danger. The scarf covering the lower half of his face hid any sign of the partial transformation from view, so it appeared nothing had changed. Garm crouched down to pick up a rose, plucking only the bud from the stem. He waited for a wind to come along, then set it out, gliding along on the gentle breeze to a nearby stream, where it floated down in the direction of town. He used this as an excuse to look back and try to catch a glimpse of their followers.

Erika, ignoring the situation altogether, was humming a serene ballad that brought several songbirds over to rest upon her witch's hat and sing along with her humming.

Night didn't notice anything until the raven on his should twitched slightly, telling him that something wasn't right. The rose tossed back gave the crazy a chance to look back casually. Night smiled and ran forward in an attempt to catch the rose, it took a little while of running around and slightly changing the wind's flow for him to catch it. All the while he watches the Animus, whose features were more interesting than others of his kind. He stops with the rose and looks around casually pretending to find the crazy, running forward he holds out the rose to him.

"You dropped this."

"........Did I now? I thought I let the wind carry it away."
His eyes are mistrustful and his deep voice sounds a bit rough, like he's half-growling the words. The scarf continues to conceal the lower half of his face. Up close, though the resemblance isn't very distinct, he seems to resemble a dragon in some way. His green, dragon-like eyes stare at the supposedly innocent young Magi. Garm has seen this type of behavior before. Usually the only Magi who talk to them are scheming something. Something bad for Erika. He doesn't take the rose at first, and Erika, without so much as a peep, summons a gentle breeze to set the rose bud adrift in the stream again.

"......."
Erika hides the intense unease and distrust she feels towards the strange boy. There isn't even any sign of her acknowledging the boy's presence. She continued to hum and the birds on her hat continued to sing along with her humming. Garm turned his gaze to her for a moment, then refocused on the boy. One follower found. The other, due to the boy's actions, was now beyond his reach of sighting. He'd have to rely on Erika to detect the possible Majin.

Fheren observed from a distance, using the earth to detect the vibrations produced by the speech of the strange people. A young boy who could be no older than ten was talking to the strangely figured man-beast, and the lady that the man-beast was accompanying was standing calmly. He approached them quietly, from the side that the woman was facing, away from the man-beast and the boy. He allowed himself to be seen and held his hands out in front of him, palms facing outward in a gesture that, between his people, meant no harm. He waited for one of them to speak to him, he had not spoken in so long.

As soon as Erika saw Fheren, Garm's gaze snapped over to the Majin. He didn't trust either stranger, but the Majin's gesture of peace was more trustworthy than the Magi in his opinion. Erika waved to the Majin but continued humming and stopped paying him any attention after the wave. Garm stood up straight, ready for either the young Magi to make a move or the Majin.
"And what do you want? You're very good at sneaking around, but it didn't work so well back in town."
His green eyes conveyed his distrust and caution, as he thought only of Erika's safety in this sort of situation. After all, these two were working together for all he knew. Erika was staring at Garm as this all went down. She smiled a bit as she hummed and walked over to him, latching onto his arm again. Some more songbirds came and landed on Garm's shoulders as Erika's humming seemed to grow a little louder. Garm's gaze softened a bit as he looked at her, but it returned to the hardened and distrustful glare when he looked at the Majin and the young Magi again.

Night turns away from the crazy animus and looks at the girl.

"Your pretty."

He smiles at her innocently while out of the corner of his eye he watches the wierd majin wondering why on earth he was doing that. His first thought that he was another crazy but his second was that he just didn't leave his house much. He focuses back on the girl and continues to smile at her. He attepts to figure out a few things about her, his best guess was she was a kindred able to speak through the Animus' mind but her appearance didn't reinforce that too well. So he assumed that a Magi could learn that as well but for what purpose? He get's interupted by the raven on his shoulder who caws quietly and shuffles around abit.

"Hungry? Um... pretty girl and her friend... wanna eat?"

Night asks them shyly while looking at ground and shuffling his feet. he backs up a bit, somewhat sraced by the Animus' stare.

Garm's stare was meant to scare. Even little kids could be dangerous enemies. Especially Magi. His obvious interest was beginning to give Erika the creeps. The look in her eyes when she glanced at Night was cold and emotionless. She prioritized safety over politeness and even the innocence of youth. Being a Magi herself, she could tell the young boy was doing more than just staring at her. Just like how she knew that raven wasn't just some raven and that this boy was far more dangerous than he looked. The Majin too, in her eyes, was someone to be cautious with. She couldn't afford to let them ruin this chance for a night of fun with Garm.
Don't provoke them. I want to enjoy tonight's festival with you Garm...Pleeeease...

Garm sighs and his eyes soften a little as they flick back to Erika. Only he could hear her, and that was how she and he both liked it. That way, no one else could hear her voice and opinions and thoughts.

Night wasn't going to give up, he was stubborn so he timidly looks the girl straight in the eyes.

"I pay... I pay for the food, so d-do you wanna eat w-with me?"

The raven begins pecking on Night's ears, obviously hungry. Night keeps staring at the girl, not in anyway was he gonna give up.
