I guess so.

Why do our brains absorb certain things, and replay them back while we are sleeping?

I don't know...
Our brains absorb what is important to us.
Even only subconsciously important to us.

And it can only play back what it has stored.
And if important things are all that's stored, that's all it can play back.

That's my guess. Haha.

Yeah that does make sense.

We've talked about everything there is, when it comes to dreams and such.

We've worn out any other conversation there is to have over this topic :/

Well. We still have the other, what is it? Three?
The other three topics we're talking in. xD

Maybe someone else will ask a question here, and then we can both answer it with another two pages of comments. :p

Yeah, it could be a friendly discussion... or a heated debate. xD

What do you think it means when you have the same dream over and over?

Are your dreams in color, or in black and white? Or maybe do the vary, sometimes being color, and other times being black and white?

Since you said that we dream what we see, does that mean that blind people don't dream at all?

Do you ever remember using other senses in your dreams, besides sight?

I think, if a dream is repeated, it's because it's something that is affecting us in real life a lot.
Like... if you dream about your friend or something, maybe there's something going on with that friend that bothers you or worries you or makes you feel good, or whatever, enough to make you dream about it over and over.

My dreams are in colour, and I believe they always have been. Don't remember ever having a black and white one. Not even a 'clip' of a black and white scene within a colour dream.

I think blind people see, just in a different way. They make images based on sound, touch, scent, and taste. It might not be any actual thing, but some type of abstract thing. And I feel as if that's what they dream about.
They might not have an personal experience with what something looks like, but people can describe things to them, so they get the general idea. And then they dream with that kind of thing.

I don't think I've felt any senses in my dreams, other than sight and sound.
Like... I don't remember ever feeling, say... metal, in my dream. Nor smelling a pie. Nor tasting a blueberry.

What if you have basically the same dream, but with different people?

Like one night you dreamed about your boyfriend, and the next it was about your grandpa.

I think i've dreamed in black and white once. It was cool because it was like Inception, i was having a dream, then watching another dream while still being in the first dream, although it was white around the edges, and black and white in the center.

Or, maybe they dream about the things they saw before they went blind (if they weren't blind at birth) and the things they saw before are translated into what they are worried about, if that makes sense.

Well, i've only ever used the senses of hearing, seeing, and feeling. I see everything, hear everything, and have felt like one thing, and for some odd reason the only thing i've ever felt in a dream was a foot.

I don't know what kind of experience you have with dreams... but really?
First your boyfriend. Then your grandpa.
That's an, uhm... interesting... switch.
But I suppose you like what you like, Seth.

That's pretty cool. Sounds like an interesting experience.

Yes. Maybe. Kinda makes sense.

I'd feel... weird, if I suddenly had other sense in dreams.
I don't know why. It'd just be strange. :p

I didn't say MY boyfriend, i was just giving examples. Don't get the wrong idea xD

We have seriously bled this topic to death. It's so dry it's basically dirt. Useless.

Have you ever had a dream that turned into a nightmare?

Haha. Yeah, you didn't -say- your boyfriend. xD

I think most nightmares start out as dreams, don't they?

It's really weird for me to be talking in this topic so much, anyway.
I really don't dream that much. Or have nightmares.
I sleep only like three hours a day. If that.
Not much time for dreaming. :p

I used to do that, i'd stay up till 2 in the morning here on SuperCheats, or watching TV or something, then have to get up at 6 and it messed me up, so i don't do it as often.

Do you ever have those days where you get like 2-3 hours of sleep, yet you feel totally rested?

If I didn't feel rested with only 2 or 3 hours of sleep, I would sleep more.
I only get the little sleep I do because my body doesn't -let- me get more, usually. xD

Well you did leave last night at like 3, so that leaves about 2 hours for sleep, and 1 hour to do you hair xD

I can't sleep with only 2-3 hours, that would kill me. I'd get in trouble for falling asleep in class, and i do that a lot, but just because my teachers are boring.

I left last night at about 3, went to bed, woke up around 5.
Found out school was cancelled.
Showered. Did my hair (in five minutes, douche :p ).
Had another hour to waste before I had anyone awake to talk to.
So I read my book.

And then I made plans for the day.
Went through with those plans.
Around five-ish, I got online here.
I've been online for the most part of the day, since then.
Except for some breaks, occasionally.

(:

Your day seems quite boring, do you ever daydream?

You made your friends hang out?

Actually, my day was quite entertaining.
No daydreaming necessary.

I didn't make any of them hang out, no. If they wanted to, then good.
The first three people I talked to said no. But they can't handle my awesomeness, so it makes sense.

Of course you would tell yourself that when they say no.

I'm surprised you can stand up with such a big ego.

You should post a picture of when your hair was long, it's probably very pretty :3

Why the crap can't i remember my dreams?!

I need to keep my confidence up.
But really, I hung out with five different people today.
Although three of them were at the same time... but that doesn't matter.
I mean, the point is, five people were willing to hang out today.
That's good enough, right? xD

My ego. Yeah. It's large, but it doesn't have any mass.
So it's not heavy at all.
My big head, though, gets in my way a lot.
Difficult to put pants on and such.

My hair long... I'll see if I have a picture on my computer right now.
I'll post it if I do.

I don't know why you can't remember your dreams.
Maybe they aren't important enough.

I'll tell you why i can't remember them. My dreams were crushed by my father, because when i was 13 he was my step dad and i dyed my hair red and he beat me.

Anyways, is it possible to dream if your mentally challenged?

Here is me, with long hair.
I've obviously gotten much sexier since I've gotten it short.

I have no idea if it's possible to dream if you're mentally challenged.
I'd assume they can. Just because their brains still work, just not as well.
So maybe the dreams are... unfocused, or something.
