SuperCheats Times Guidelines

In an effort to make things easier on the eyes and get straight to the point, here's the new set of guidelines.

• You may only make a leaving topic if you will be gone for more than 1 week.
• No topics complaining about a lack of attention or what other members do.


• Topics should be about your achievements, or the achievements of other SuperCheats users.


• Congratulate the original poster or don't post - we're not interested in hearing you complain about the OP's achievement.


• Only post news stories if you're the one who's written them.


• If you make a benchmark topic about how many posts/points/years you've racked up on SuperCheats, make sure they're something worth celebrating.
• If something isn't a real achievement, your topic may be closed.
• If you make a bunch of topics over small achievements, your topic may be closed.

I'll leave this open for a few days so the members can discuss it. Since you guys are the ones who actually have to deal with these things, you might as well get the say.

I agree with these guidelines.

Should be fairly easy to follow, hopefully.

I think all Pollo was doing was making the rules easier to understand.

They were tl;dr. I tried to throw out as many stupid ones as possible and leave more freedom to the member.

So instead of being tl;dr it's more a case of who gives a fcuk?

They need to be approved first.

Well what would you rather it be? There has to be something to keep people from going into a topic and wailing on the OP rather than congratulating them. :S

- Posts made in congratulatory post benchmark topics may not be made solely to bash the original poster for posting in the Forum Games!, or for any other reason. If all you're going to say is something nasty, we're not interested and your post will be deleted. Posts such as, "OMG, half of those were in FG!", or "*cough*forum games*cough*" will also be deleted and the member warned should it become a reoccurring problem.

The idea now is that the members pretty much have the freedom to say what they want to say as long as it isnt an attack on that member.

Dont post just to attack another member.A joke is a joke but don't push it into a flame war.

Yeah, after all that effort to become a more lenient staff, let's just add more rules.

Why the hell does that even need to be in them?

I mean - we already have a general, site wide rule against flaming. Lets just leave it at that. We're not idiots. Well, most of us arent.

If the majority of members think the mini-rule isn't needed, we can leave it out until it becomes a problem again.

If not we don't really need a pinned rule thread, that noones ever going to read.

It isn't needed. It's as simple as; common sense.

If this is all common sense, then I'd say it's needed.
Humans tend to lack in the 'common sense' part of life, these days...

I really don't see the harm in this rule thread. Most of the rules are fine to me.

Well, this hasn't been Admin-approved, which it needs to be so it's getting unpinned. Can stay open for discussion, but I really don't see the point in them myself. Let's see if we actually encounter any of these problems first.
