Old Mods Quit....or kicked?

I've seen your topics. Even by these mods standards, you tend to stretch the rules.

Guests = bots.

Don't bots have to be well, bots to count?

Guest can be alive.

Bots = programs used to create accounts on random forums and advertize content so that the site being advertized can gain views/money.

Guests = users of SC without accounts.

I've only seen one guest so far that's advertized, and that was yesterday. He was going on about some kind of keygens for a game. After that, I to talk to Rich about expanding the banning permissions of T&C into the forums so that Smods could manage IP addresses too.

I swear, I think these bots are multiplying because I can currently only perma ban their accounts. A month ago, it was one or two a day. Now it's gotten to the point where I perma ban 3 - 6 people a day.

And on top of that, I feel kinda bad for asking this much from Rich. The original Smod ban limit was 5 bans a week. Then it went up to 15 bans a week so I could deal with bots. After I broke my account again, he made it 10 bans a day. Once these advertizing guests popped up, it's now 10 account/IP bans a day.

Can't Z do the same thing?

No. Smods are limited to bans lasting up to 1 week. You know I have a reputation of altering code. Only I know how to do custom bans.

Why don't you just report the bots to the Admins if you keep breaking your account over this?

I'm not playing grabass with the Admins anymore. I shouldn't have to report bots to them. As the highest rank on the forums, they should know their responsibility is to mod the boards - Not just be decision engines. They should be right behind me, banning the IP's of the bots without having to be told where they are.

It's fine though. Rich knows exactly what's going on, and who's doing the majority of the work. That's why he keeps expanding on my ability to actually do the work.

I feel better than I finally said that. I've had that pent up for over a month, and it's had me annoyed near daily.

If staff wasn't so cut that comment would incite a riot ._.

He could just promote one person with specific ban powers, it would seemingly help. Or create a two, three man crew with special tags just for that.

Not all. Cross Stinger occasionally keeps the trading forum in line. I do see you, Axionas, doing stuff in the Pokemon Hub.

Well since I'm currently the only Mod who doesn't mod an active forum (besides T&C) I'm always available if you want me to perhaps help mod a specific forum. If not, I understand.

I know Steelers. If I had my way, you and Eli would be Smod. I get a few reports from you two, and I know you two do the work.

I try. I pretty much go through all the topics anyway, so I might as well report what I see.

I should spend more time in the forums anyways, though lately I've been trying. ^_^;
