You know the feeling of wanting to grow up and wanting to be treated more like a adult? Well, I've felt that way before, but I've also felt the not wanting to grow up. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and enjoy the wonderful memories and skip all the bad stuff. Has/does anyone else felt/feel that same way? I'm kinda feeling down about growing up. Everything feels like it has happened too fast and only for a short while. It just..... sucks.
Yeah, there's a age you think about it in a way that you want to grow up. I've learned to embrace being as young as I am because of my older sister, who is now struggling to survive without our parents helping her out. She made sure that I learn that.
As a college freshman just now being independent (I earned my entire tuition in scholarships and receive absolutely no financial help from my parents), I am really beginning to miss the luxuries of being a child. I can't sleep in, I can't skip practices and blame it on my parents, and ultimately I have to choose what's worth spending my money on. I would much rather eat for a week than buy a $45 video game.
I'm 18. With no job. Living in my parents basement. And no license so I can drive. So I am kinda living a younger teenager life, but as an adult.
I hit that point where I am like. I wanna stay where I am. No job, so I have all the free time, after school, and I don't wanna worry about bills. But no matter what, time will continue, and we all get older
Being an adult can certainly suck. Most of the problems stem from money, and lack thereof. But there are so many things in the world you can do as an adult that you can't as a child.
