Terrible tragedy. Another terrible thing is that the news outlets are giving the shooter more publicity than all of the victims combined.

That's true. It's just idiotic to do. Some broken soul could decide to off himself in his basement, but see how much publicity mass shooters get and say, "Screw it, at least people will know who I was" and then you have another shooting. It propagates the cycle.

I like to look at it as being considerate of the people who lost their kids in this case. No parent would want a camera and a mic shoved in their faces while they're trying to recover from something like that.
