You get 8 weeks! We only get 6! We have ours from the middle of December to the start of February. How many terms do you have? We have 4.

Yeah, we get 8 weeks, but it looks like you get more time off on your school holidays.
Number of terms depends on your school level (elementary, middle, high) and the individual school. The elementary/middle school my mom works at runs on a 1 term schedule, where the kids have the same 8 classes all year long for 45 minutes a day. My school runs on a 2 term schedule, so I've got four classes per term, each about 80 minutes.

I had 8 week break from end of november (or closer to the middle sometimes) to beginning of Feb when I was in high school, with 4 terms, each between 10-12 weeks long, with 2 week breaks between 1 & 2. 2 & 3 and 3 & 4.
