Even know I don't live in America, I'm actually pretty lucky cause I live about 20 mins away from the beach. I can't imagine not having the beach. But now I'll have to wait another 9 months or something to go back to the beach.( It's Autumn where I live. ) It'd be so cold if I went in the middle of winter.

I live near a bunch of lakes. I never really go swimming though, just like to fish a bit. I often go to vacation in Florida, so the ocean is one thing I've experienced. It's much better than a lake, although I can't really fish in it without a boat....

I've never swam in a lake, it doesn't appeal to me for what ever reason

Yeah, swimming with fish poo doesn't excite me much either.
Even though I don't live near the ocean, I'm going to see it one way or another before I grow old and go blind.

I know how to swim. I was saying that if you ignore the bad things, like all the germs/urine in public pools (even though the water is chlorinated) and whatever you're afraid of in the lakes or rivers (Blade cites fish poo), then it can't hurt you and you'll just have a good time.

In all honesty I'd rather swim in the ocean, or some other body of water, rather than in a public pool.
