I know this is a gaming website but I'm bringing up some politics.
So what do you think? Should America attack Syria or should America stay out of it?

It depends to be honest.

I'm not quite sure what this is about, as whenever I try to go to a news site it just says stuff about Obama and Bashar al-Assad, but nothing about why Obama wants so badly to attack Syria.

Seems he's trying to overcompensate for something.

Well a couple of weeks ago there was a gas attack in Syria killing 1300 people. President Obama feels that if he doesn't retaliate he will look weak. Syria poses no threat to the United States. Although President Obama says that no US troops would touch the ground and that this would just be missile strikes I feel that it would only bring retaliation to United States soil. Another reason President Obama feels pressured to do this is that Syria still has some of it's chemical weapons. Watch the President's speech @9ET

Well it looks like we aren't going to get involved, as Syria entered a deal with Russia, agreeing to sign the agreement banning chemical weapons and opening up its weapon storage sites in order to not be attacked.

Then why is President Obama still having his speech to convince Congress to approve the attack?

It's just fun watching the US always barging in to these things that don't ever really concern them, and then having all these huge debates about it.
That's why living in a country that is neutral on all these is fun.

Just wait till the next world war some dictator will come to your border and simply own your country. But you are right America barges into stuff they don't belong in. Like Vietnam.

Next world war will simply be Nukes, so I dont think we have to worry about dictators
Also, Finland fought off Russia, so I think they can handle themselves

This. Finland the best. My Kingdom of Finland in Crusader Kings 2 is ridiculous.

I don't know about that not every country has nukes yet. I personally could see North Korea invade South Korea and since America has thousands of troops there it would start a world war that could possibly (lets not hope) end in a nuclear war.

If it can be classified as a World War, you can be damn sure there will be Nukes involved

I didn't say it didn't have nukes involved. I just said it wouldn't be all nukes.

Yeah but all it takes is nuke, and then everywhere is screwed. Even if you're not hit by the bomb itself, the radiation from 1 bomb can cause devistation around the world, thanks to wind currents
And the will be a LOT more than 1 bomb

Well Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Chernobyl haven't really spread beyond their borders but retaliation is the big problem. UPDATE President Vladimir Putin claims that the rebels (who were supplied by America) were the ones who spread the nerve gas. Not the Syrian government.
He also said that America is a force that takes over countries under the principle that "if you're not with us your against us". Those are fighting words where I'm from (which I shall not reveal).
