On Monday September 16th a 34 yr old man named Arron Alexis killed 12 people at the Navy Yard in Washington DC. Unlike the Fort Hood shooting this man was not in the military he was a civilian contractor. Police say he used and assault rifle, shotgun, and a handgun. He was eventually killed by a SWAT team. Do you think this is an act of terrorism or workplace violence?

Workplace violence, although I just found out about this a few hours ago.
I don't know all the details, but I think it was workplace violence. Terrorism is like 9/11 where something big happens and it is intended to scare people.

Well I agree but since it's workplace violence the government won't pay their medical bills.

That's ridiculous.
What else do they have to do with that money besides wasting it on things that never yield fruit?
I guess it's more important that they put money in their fat wallets, than to try and help other people.

Well if it was classified as a terrorist attack all the medical bills would be paid by Uncle Sam.

It wasn't a terrorist attack by any means. Alexis was found to have mental issues long before this happened; he did not have the perspicacity of your average home-grown terrorist.
