If you haven't heard, Nintendo will be shutting down the online aspects (all online gameplay) for Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii Games on May 20, 2014. Even if you play these games on newer systems (3DS / Wii U) you still won't be able to access the online sever to these games.
I personally don't like this one bit. I'm a Pokemon Gamer, and this takes away a lot. I usually trade within my DS Games and then transfer them over to my 3DS (this is how I usually fulfill trade requests). With this shutdown, as far as Pokemon Games are concerned, you won't be able to access GTS, Online Battles, or Online Trades. This takes a lot away from those games, and a lot of people still play them (obviously not enough for Nintendo to keep the Online Server for them). This also takes away the chance to try to "catch-em-all". After the Main Story-line, now anyway, these Pokemon Games are pretty much useless.
So, what do you think? I know there are way more games that will be effected by the shutdown, but I really only play Pokemon. :p

It doesn't really affect me at all, but I se what you mean with the Pokemon games. Kind of odd they'd shut down Black/White 2 when they've been out like what? A year?

Smash Bros was already on the list. I also would be getting Wii Sports. I still haven't decided whether to buy a Wii or not.

About eighteen months, but yeah, I get where you are coming from. I guess they want people to buy the newest Pokemon Games and newest system.

Don't really see the huge deal. BW sucked and DP is the slowest game ever. HGSS is good, though.

They actually admitted to failing with the Wii U. But that's as expected, since nintendo made the same mistake with the WiiU release as it did with other consoles....
