basically your run of the mill slow unintelligent zombies.
Now like warrior I don't believe it will ever happen, though I do have some hopes. So if it does I will first enjoy the first few days of initial panic and join alongside with the raiding of stores and all that. Then I will move onto stocking up on weapons, barricading my house, building a garden, stocking on food, and oil for a generator. Then I will just sit it out.

If a zombie apocalypse happened in every country, Australia would be screwed. We don't own guns.
If one ever happens, I would assume people would all go to one place and make it a base. They would make sure they could fend off the zombies until they could work out a plan. If the apocalypse only happened in America, the first thing to do would be to get off that continent, or head down to South America (but remember, North & South are joined). You would make sure no zombies could leave North & South America, then nuke the 2 continents.
Another question would be, how would an apocalypse even happen? Would a deadly virus smash and contaminate a whole building like in Resident Evil? Would a certain percentage of humans start being born with defects that later lead to them becoming zombies? What are your ideas?

I said Walking Dead style so virus. And Australia would be screwed. The more people to a base the faster it turns into an undead dinner hall. I have a very in depth plan.
The biggest problem with a zombie apocalypse isn't the zombies, it's the other humans. My friend and I have a plan for if it goes down. We're gonna chill in his garage, which has a normal pull-down garage door that zombies couldn't get in, and one side door we could reinforce that would be our entrance and exit. His father owns a business that requires lots of machines and other equipment, so they have a ton of oil and gasoline saved up, as well as several heavy-duty vehicles used to transport stuff.
My friend's house is heated with a wood stove, so they have a ton of wood already cut. The garage we would be staying is has a small wood stove as well. They have a bunch of canned food too, since they have a big family. If necessary, we could hunt for food, as there's a plentiful deer population around his house. The biggest problem would be other groups attacking us. In that case, they already have a security system set up that alerts them whenever anyone steps on their property. This somehow runs on batteries. If worst comes to worst, we could take his boat and head for the coast.
Well I imagine islands would be pretty goo places to go to. Think I'd settle for Hawaii.
Just make myself a nice small base up in the rain forest area, go back to hunting and gathering. Set some traps up for zombies/people chill out. Since it is an island there would be a considerably less amount of zombies plus a decent amount of boats so if all else fails I could always just sit out on my boat.
