So recently I over heard a conversation and was just curious about some of your thoughts. So here is a scenario for you.
"You are walking along the sidewalk and come across a homeless man asking for money. You have the choice of giving him the money or going to a store, buying some food, and giving it to him. What do you do?"
Do you give him money or buy him so food?
Would your answer change if the man was surrounded by empty bottles of beer?
Spoiler: The conversation I overheard was in full but basically 3 girls all said they would buy the man food and give it to him because they will not allow the homeless man to use the money for alcohol. I personally disagree and thought that to be selfish. In my opinion it isn't my business what he does with the money and if he wants to spend it on alcohol then that is his choice and I am fine with it. Not only that giving a homeless man food isn't going to help him much. For some reason the girls seemed to think that he would magically get a job if he was well fed. Food or no food chances are he will stay homeless. Alcohol or no alcohol he will stay homeless. I just hate the idea of forcing decisions onto others.
