The 2DS looks crap. Don't get it.
If you're looking to spend as little money as possible, but the standard 3DS, although if you don't mind spending a bit more, buy the N3DS or N3DSXL. (I don't think the N3DS is out in America though)

Jake - If you're desperate, you could order the N3DS from Japan / Australia / New Zealand & get the games from that specific country. (it's already released in Jap/Aus/NZ)
