Disturbing email

Below is the email I received from someone I don't know, it has to be a scam asking for money:-

Attention�:�This would be the last and final warning for you!

This Legal Proceedings issued on your Docket Number EVR-38924 with one of Ge Capital Inc. Company in order to notify you that after making calls to you on your phone number we were not able to get hold of you. So the accounts department of Ge Capital.INC has decided to mark this case as a flat refusal and press legal charges against you.

Case No. A-12-671427-C

Amount Outstanding Fee

We have sent you this warning notification about legal proceedings but you failed to respond on time now it's high time if you failed to respond in next 24�HOURS we will register this case in court. Consider this as a final warning. And we will be Emailing/ Fax this issue to your current employer to make sure they take strict against you. Your salary wages will be garnished.

Do revert back if you want to get rid of these legal consequences and make a payment arrangement today or else we would be proceeding legally against you. And we apologize that this notification will also be sent to your current employer. The opportunity to take care of this voluntary is quickly coming to an end. We would hate for you to lose the option of resolving this before it goes to the next step which is a Lawsuit against you, but to do so you must take immediate action.

You can Email back to get the payment mode too.

We will be forced to proceed legally against you and once it is processed the creditor has entire rights to inform your employer and your references regarding this issue and the lawsuit will be the next step which will be amounting to�$7600.00�and will be totally levied upon you and that would be excluding your attorney charges. If you take care of this out of court then we will release the clearance certificate from the court and we will make sure that no one will contact you in future.

Scam. It's fraud. Report it

Yep complete scam - I get literally hundreds of these every week. My inbox is full of trash.

Yeah, I get a ton of these scams in my email each week as well. Just ignore it, if a law firm sends you a legal document you would have to sign for it when the courier gives it to you. You wouldn't get it electronically via email.

Scam. Had one similarish on my phone from the so called AFP.

At first sight I was freaked out as to why I would go to jail, now that I see the google results billions of innocent victims also received these ancient, old-fashioned and out-of-date troll messages.

Am never going to send money to these greedy pigs.

I went to the police station to report it, I was told nobody is going to do anything to me and I have nothing to worry about.

I just removed it (it was a virus) from my phone. Besides the nearest police station is suburbs away.

Just delete it like the rest of us do.

Rule 1 of email: email is not reliable
- Never assume that if you send an email the recipient will get the message.
- always consider all incoming emails as potential fakes. If you know the sender and know for certain it's from them then great, otherwise don't click links and don't believe what it says.

I got a call from the same number that texted me my Microsoft security number (Because I was logging in to my account, it wasn't a scam or anything) It's also a number near my region. My friends told me to ring them back to see who it is but it was in 2014 so xD

But still this sh!t is weird

They want to steal from me $7600 for not answering the phone, and want to handle this to the court to try and make me pay?

Kevin, there is a 0% chance you will lose money from them if you do nothing.

I particularly like the sentence about your wages being ?garnished?. He makes it sound like salad (people refer to ?garnish? to mean things that decorate a meal/your plate) ? he is not using the word ?garnished? correctly. There are lots of grammatical errors, as well as the threats. He sounds like a very unpleasant person.
