Jackie Chan has done some fun movies, took martial arts in a completely different direction by adding comedy to his action scenes.

If you had to go into a troubled situation and you could take one of those actors above with you as backup which one would you take? I think I'd give Chuck a call.

Yeah 80's action movies.. hmm, I think Arnold was probably the biggest draw at the time.
Jackie Chan is definitely a fav though for the set piece fights. more fun than the others.
Clint Eastwood too although more for the 70s westerns.

But don't forget a few others. Mel Gibson (mad max, lethal weapon) was doing well in the 80's and then there is Harrison Ford. Not strictly pure action. But smart and dangerous in Indiana Jones, blade runner etc. and Empire / Jedi all in the 80's

Yeah Jackie Chan wasnt actually trained as a fighter but as a performer which what gave his roles such originality.

In terms of back up I would rather have had Chuck's master rather than him but that's a little more difficult to arrange =(

Kurt Russell or Steven Seagal? They're strange selections, Kurt Russel would be the last one on that list I'd call and Steven Seagal is all talk according to the MMA fighters who have trained with him. I think you'd get your **** kicked KingofCorn if you take them two with you.

Kurt Russell is a badass. The Thing, Tombstone(he was Wyatt Earp!), Solider, Hateful 8, Stargate, Tanto & Cash, Big Trouble in Little China, and Escape from New York.

Yeah, but they were movies, I'm talking real life situation. You can't tell me you'd give Kurt Russell a call before Dolph Lungren?

Arnie definitely. Not a great actor but he was brilliant in The Terminator. Still such a good film.

I like Jackie Chan too; he pretty much revolutionised Hong Kong cinema when he first broke through (before that Hong Kong cinema pretty much consisted of Bruce Lee lookalikes starring in terrible rip-offs of, or unofficial sequels to, Bruce Lee's films), and some of his 80's and 90's films are really good. Not seen him in much recently.

As a henchman or sidekick though, definitely Chuck Norris.

what you really need is the one guy who can protect you from wild animals, and take out criminals with a can of beans. Oh and has a really big knife.

Lol, I remember those movies. They were huge in the UK during the late 80's. Crocodile Dundee (Paul Hogan) is now 76. I still remember his quote from all those years back 'Nah mate, that aint a kinfe, this is a knife' and then pulls out a hunting knife that puts Rambo's to shame.
