Imagine you're lying back enjoying the latest episode of whatever show you're into when you hear your phone vibrate. You've received a text. You go get your phone when you see some icecream out on the kitchen bench that you desperately want. There are two spoilers below. Choose one, and once you have chosen, do NOT click on the other one.
Check phoneSpoiler:
You decide to ignore the icecream for now incase the text is important. It is your good friend Jack. He tells you that your girlfriend (or if you are female, your boyfriend) has been murdered and the police think that it was you. These officers are ruthless; they will beat you to the ground literally until they get you to confess, whether or not you did it. Jack tells you that they have just left and are coming your way. They will arrive in 15 minutes, meaning you need to be out in 10. This means you have 10 minutes to gather some things; food, water, clothes, devices etc because there is NO WAY you can hand yourself in. No matter what they will try to convict you and use WHATEVER they can find to nail you. You will lose if you stay. You let your family members know what has happened; tell them you have not done this (you actually haven't murdered your girl/boyfriend). You and they gather items and your sister Bella comes with you; it isn't safe. She was about to leave to go to a party so it is very fortunate you checked your phone as soon as you did. You and Bella have everything ready, and get in her car and get out of the place as soon as you can.

Eat icecreamSpoiler:
You can't resist the temptation and sit down to eat it. You take 5 long minutes and finally check your phone after you hear 5 more vibrations. It if your good friend Jack. He tells you that your girlfriend (or if you are female, your boyfriend) has been murdered and the police think that it was you. These officers are ruthless; they will beat you to the ground literally until they get you to confess, whether or not you did it. Jack tells you in the first message that they have just left and are on their way. Further down in later messages, he urges you to get out, as you don't have much time anymore. The officers will be here in 10 minutes; meaning you have to be out in 5. This means you have 5 minutes to gather some things; food, water, clothes, devices etc because there is NO WAY you can hand yourself in. No matter what they will try to convict you and use WHATEVER they can find to nail you. You will lose if you stay. You let your parents know what has happened; tell them you have not done this (you actually haven't murdered your girl/boyfriend). Your sister Bella; who you are quite close with, has just left to go to a party so she cannot help. You and your parents gather items in a frantic rush, and you and your father escape in his car. You can already hear the police coming.

Now there are four spoilers below. These paragraphs are all in the first person now. If you chose the first spoiler from above, choose either the first or second spoiler down below. If you chose the second spoiler from above, choose either the third or fourth spoiler down below.
Turn right at an intersection and take a riskSpoiler:
Bella is keeping her cool remarkably. She says one crucial mistake criminals make is to act like criminals. She is driving at the perfect speed, blending in nicely with the traffic. She knows a group of guys who do some illegal stuff, but will always protect one of their own. She says they will protect me and hide me from the cops. We come to an intersection. Going straight ahead is pointless; that heads towards the police station. Going right takes us to her friends, but she is worried a police roadblock might be set up that way. Going left takes us close to Jack's house. We decide to take a chance and head right. But as soon as we turn, we realise we've made a huge mistake. A huge roadblock is set up a few hundred metres away. If we divert away we'll draw attention to ourselves. I text Jack telling hin=m what has happened and that I can't afford to be caught. As we slowly crawl up to it, we realise the cops will take a look inside at us. We'll be caught. So I get out of the car and bolt through into the forest nearby. The police see me however and make chase. Bella gets out and tries to distract them put to no avail. They catch up to me and as soon as they see my face they know who I am. I'm in big trouble now. They snatch my phone to take it into evidence and take me away.

Turn left at an intersection and take the safe, but less effective optionSpoiler:

She knows a group of guys who do some illegal stuff, but will always protect one of their own. She says they will protect me and hide me from the cops. We come to an intersection. Going straight ahead is pointless; that heads towards the police station. Going right takes us to her friends, but she is worried a police roadblock might be set up that way. Going left takes us close to Jack's house. She concedes that we can't take that big a risk. As we turn left, I look behind and see a police roadblock. Imagine if we had turned right. As we drive along this road, we can see police preparing to set up a roadblock on this road too. Too bad we already passed them. But if we were a few minutes later, we would've been in a Catch-22 situation. Once we arrive at Jacks, we can all calm down and work out what to do next. Looks like I'll live to fight another day.

Turn left and take the sensible, standard optionSpoiler:
Dad is driving frantically. He says we've taken too long and need to make up for lost time. I tell him to slow down in case we get caught for speeding. That would be the worst nightmare. So he slows down, but as he said, we'll have lost valuable time. We come to an intersection. Traffic turning left has just cleared from a congested clog. Going straight ahead is pointless; that heads towards the police station. Turning right would be useless as we don't know what's down that way. However turning left takes us to Jack's house. That seems the best option so we turn that way. I look behind to see a police roadblock that way. Lucky we didn't go down there. But when I turn around, I see that a roadblock is also set up this way. I get out of the car and bolt into the nearby forest. It's much more dense on this side so the officers can't see me when they chase after me. They concede that they saw nothing and leave. I'm so relieved. But when I reach into my pocket my heart stops. I forgot my phone when we were in a rush to collect stuff for me to take. So I stand up and take a few steps, but I trip, as I can't see anything. I land on a sharp stick and scream out in pain. They hear me and rush back into the forest, and eventually catch up with me and see me this time. I'm in big trouble now.

Turn right because you need to hurrySpoiler:
Dad is driving frantically. He says we've taken too long and need to make up for lost time. I tell him to slow down in case we get caught for speeding. But he doesn't. We come to an intersection. Going straight ahead is pointless; that heads towards the police station. Turning right would be useless as we don't know what's down that way. However turning left takes us to Jack's house. When he tries turning left the traffic gets blocked so we have to take a chance and turn right. Ugh why couldn't he have just slowed down. Wheh we do, I look behind and see a roadblock. Gee lucky we took that chance. But when I turn around, I see a roadblock here as well. Thinking it would be stupid to run into this forest; quite open and without my phone for help, I stay in the car and take yet another chance. When we get up to it and the police take a look at us both, they smile and let us through. I don't know where we'll go now, but at least I made it through.

Well after choosing your two spoilers, did you:
- Get yourself and your sister caught, and lose your phone to the police; with information incriminating yourself.
In the heat of the moment it can be crucial what decisions you make, and the consequences they have on you, others, and your future. Refusing to eat icecream or taking the safe option rather than the risky one can be the difference.
