Night time is great because people tend to be more laid back and not rushing around trying to get stuff done. However, I do enjoy waking up early for some morning exercise and having a nice late lunch during the day is always fun on a sunny day. Also, as a beginner skateboarder, I prefer to do so during the day while I can see everything on the road!
I've done the bmx and aggressive skating sports, but skateboard is the most difficult so far. I think the balance comes eventually and a lot of it is just getting comfortable on the board. The scary part of skateboards is that stopping seems way more difficult and less predictable than any other activity that I've tried. On a bike you hit the brakes, and on skates you can easily T-stop, but skateboards you have to balance on one foot while you drag the other one alongside you or use the tail to stop, but both of these don't seem easy at all at high-speed, which is when braking is usually most important! If anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate that, but maybe I should make a new post for that question.
I use to watch it on the X-games, only dreaming I could just ride one. I surely ain't comfortable on a skateboard. Taking off was easy, but staying on and going was another story for me. I bet if I spent more than a week trying I could have gotten somewhere with it.
Well sometimes I change depending on whatever. With short films, mainly the ones I make, it either needs to be dark outside or light. We record all the daylight scenes at one point and the night ones at night but that just causes a lot of editing. I wish I had the power to make it day or night whenever
Now that you mention that, I think the one's I tried were not very tight at all. This guy that had it didn't care about his boards much and broke them often to even care.
I'm much more of a day person nowadays - Back in the day I used to love working late into the night, but now... Pfft... Too tired - probably comes with age and a couple of kids!
Yeah that is for sure, my kids wake me up every morning 7:30am, no later - sometimes earlier. I don't need much sleep just yet, but I think I am about to hit that road. I usually am awake until 1am. Which I make my kids go to bed at 8pm every day. Give me relaxing time.
