If You Could Change/Add One(1) Thing

If Rich(Team SuperCheats) gave you the power to change/add one thing to SuperCheats main site or forums. What would it be? Why would you do that?

I had the idea a long time ago for a permanent, full-time Forums Manager. But, unfortunately, it would've just cost too much money for the part of the site that doesn't bring in many funds.

I had also had a lot of new ideas to go along with that to further boost the activity. But as my tone should imply, that's water under the bridge now.

Don't look back, don't ever look back; it's no good to go back in time.

Personally if I was creating the site back in 1998/1999 I would've implemented a coins system where you earn coins for doing certain things and could use them to buy avatars, forum backgrounds, and signature images.

Only going forward is the way. That interesting Matt.

I'd change the direction of SuperCheats - Cheats aren't a top priority unless you are hacking, using cheat devices for Pokemon games nowadays. People are very much into Play through's, that would be cool to have that type of content, but would be a serious bandwidth hog. SuperCheats would likely have to change the name to SuperPlay or something.

That's what I'd add though, I know the website has videos, but it's basically just people playing, I mean designated staff that play through a game and show members that need help in a certain area or looking for something. It would take a lot of work I know. But, would be super nice.

In my opinion a name change is a bad idea, as people won't recognise the name 'SuperPlay' or 'SuperWalkthroughs'.

True, I like the name but something needs to direct more activity, but judging by the guest viewers, that ain't a problem.

They are just viewing though, getting what they want and leaving.

The name was very fitting back in the day. I remember in my childhood, looking up cheats/walk throughs for games was big.

I will agree now though, cheats for video games are not popular anymore. If people want to cheat, they have those action replays and certain programs which make much more easier.

Yeah that's what I mean. Cheats are not a highly searched thing nowadays. Hints are more acceptable though. People love videos that show where stuff is or how to complete something though.

I think the coins system is a great idea. I would do that too.

Yeah but a lot changes in almost 20 years. Wow. They need to do a special 20 year anniversary web design for that entire year.

I say they make the design a cross between the current design and the old design.

There wasn't forums until 2003 - 2004.

I like the current design, I would just make small changes and tweaks.

Too much wasn't it. Kinda liked it that way, simple and easy to navigate. This new forum when looking in video games forums is a headache aspirin can't fix.

I have no idea what happened to VGF.

It use to be like this:

Main forums > Video Game Board > Xbox Boards > Destiny

Now it's:

Main forums > Video Game Boards > (Most "popular" forums)/Xbox Boards(This use to be a category, with a general discussion board inside above all the video game forums) Now it's a general discussion for the console forum now. Only way to find what you want is search it or try the letter. Seems like it would be obvious to check letters, but it ain't gonna find what you looking for sometimes. Searching is direct but You cannot see the forum unless you search it... means probably 90% of the video game boards forums are not seen cause they are basically hidden unless you search it. They need to be back in your face again like they use to be.
