Before computers and video games took off in the early 80's one of the hobbies you would find a lot of kids were into was model making. I was one of them, I used to love those Airfix model kits which you used to put together and paint, especially the WWII planes and soldiers. Has anyone tried model making?
I've only done one before, but it was pretty fun to make, especially the satisfaction you get once you're finished and it's painted. It was of the Battlestar Galactica from the corresponding TV show. I have another hidden away somewhere that hasn't been built yet, so I'll try to make it sometime.

I can't recall the Batttlestar Galactica kits but the model kits I do remember fondly from the 70's which everyone wanted were the horror ones made by Aurora. I'd love to have those now, they were awesome.
Any chance you could post photos of your Aurora horror model kits danielroxheaps, I'd love to see them. Whereaboouts did you get them from because the company closed down in 1977 and to buy those kits now costs a ton of money, especially if they are unmade?
Some of those Aurora kits when they were put together by a professional really did look fantastic. It was only because of Star Wars and ths space craze of 1977 forced that company to close down, such a shame as they were producing quality model kits.
No, I didn't know that. Just watched your link and there are some really nice pinball tables on it. I don't see many pinball machines now in bars, used to in the 80's and early 90's.
Yeah we have an old-fashioned caf/restaurant with pinball tables. Feels good pressing buttons on tables. I'm gonna get one. But first I need a garage lol
Pinball Tables are popular on that second-hand website here. You'd easily get 1k+ if you sell one. It's all the bars here that are designed to look old-fashioned that have them. Some also have arcade machines.
So true, but then each time you put in a coin you start playing, and before you know it, a few days go by, you've lost your job, lost your friends and then you wake up, and buy a pinball machine.
