I'm a Marino fan as well, such a shame he never won a Super Bowl and unfortunately that's how people remember him now 'great Quarterback who never won the big one'. I remember watching him in 1984 in his second season with the Dolphins and it was just amazing the way he was throwing that ball downfield to his recievers, Mark Duper, Mark Clayton and Nat Moore. They weren't short passes for long gains, the ball was literally travelling through air 60 yards regularly during the game. The NFL hadn't seen anything like it before, it even made Dan Fouts and Air Coyell look conservative.
Sugar Ray Leonard didn't even want to become a pro Boxer after winning Gold at the Montreal Olympics, he was quite happy being a door to door salesman selling encyclopedias. It's only because his girlfriend got pregnant that he was forced to go into Boxing.
