Apparently we're now being told Darth Vader lived in a castle, not sure this concept works for me to be honest. This is Darth Vader we're talking about here, not Dracula.
I thought they had it right when Darth Vader was aboard the Executor in the Empire Strikes Back, him living in an old castle just doesn't seem right, he's starting to resemble Marvels Dr Doom.
Exactly, I agree with balthiersbit, they had it right when they showed Darth Vader on the Executor in his meditation chamber, a specially pressurized, black hyperbaric capsule where he could sit and breathe without requiring his body suit. As if he'd live in a poxy castle, even more so when you consider he has trouble breathing anyway, all that dust and dampness would be a nightmare for him. I think Disney forget this is Darth Vader we are talking about.
Lol, I don't think Disney have thought that one through. I bet George Lucas rolled his eyes when he was told, there's no mention of Darth Vader living in a castle in any of his Star Wars movies.
It is a shame as Disney seem to have been doing a decent job and it is tough for me to say that as I really did roll my eyes and groan when I heard Disney had bought the franchise.
Thanx to Craizen for the sig, love ya babe, Hubby for the avi.
I did as well, especially when Disney brought Marvel but I must admit they have up to now been doing a really good job with Marvel, especially when you consider Marvel almost went bust in the early 90's and now have some of the most recognisable characters in the world where before it was really only Spider-Man and the Hulk that were known by non-comicbook readers. I'd go as far to say Marvel have left DC way behind.
I doubt the Justice League will be able to contend with the Avengers either. Then again if the Marvel films can be rescued, X-Men can be rescued why not DC comics?
Thanx to Craizen for the sig, love ya babe, Hubby for the avi.
The problem with DC comics and the Justice League is Superman, he's too powerful and overshadows the other characters and basically ruins storylines. I think DC had the right idea when they killed him off in 1992. Mind you saying that Marvel had the same problem with the Avengers and Thor who again was too powerful for the team, Marvel got around their problem by saying Thor was away in Asgard sorting out some problems there when the villain was not world threatening.
Well it is a good excuse even if Cinema Sins nipicks at the films for that reason. Superman had no home planet to go back to. I never knew they killed him off though Im not really into the comics or the animation, I only got into the films due to the Avengers. I like the the banter between the characters, it just makes them seem more human and less superhero if you get what I mean. (obviously I know they are humans besides Thor!)
Ive not seen any of the new Superman films or the newer Batman, personally for me they have run their course (Spiderman too).
Thanx to Craizen for the sig, love ya babe, Hubby for the avi.
I feel the same now about Superhero movies in general, the market has been saturated to the point they are becoming boring and repetitive. The only ones that interest me now are Captain America and the Avengers, they tend to have decent spy based storylines with a bit of intrigue that make you think.
