Starter help..

Ok, I know you shouldnt train just one pokemon, its not a good idea, but I beat every trainer i met including the Elite Four with just my Charmander. All you have to do is battle every trainer you meet before challenging someone important, like a gym leader or your rival. I chose Charmander because even though Prof. Oak says he is the hardest to train, in the long run he will win the most battles for you. I ended up beating the Elite Four in 19hrs and 39mins, which compared to most probably isn't very impressive..lol. Anyways, just fight every trainer you meet, that way it's easier to defeat the bigger trainers.

You can get fly from the house left of celadon after you cut near were snorlax is found you will find a house with a girl in it talk to her and you will get fly.

lol i did it alot of times all i rase is one pokemon and cath them when i lose which never ahppeneds besides trying elited four with Charazard by him self in the second wave my charizard and mewtwo and bellosm beat it. 76 charazard 71mewtwo 55 bellsom barley train it lol

i like charmander but a good choice would probably be bulbaser because he has the upper hand at the first three gyms you go to battle at nd he has some desent attacks.

charmander is the best in the long run, but like you said, bulbasaur is best versus the first gyms, and charmander has problems with misty...i always train up one pokemon at a time, my charizard was level 94 when i versed the pokemon league for the first time, and if you train just one pokemon, it makes it easier to catch the legendary birds, which are useful in the pokemon league

i know but thats a good choice for a totle beginner if they don't know what to do. i profer charmander too. i really don't like squirtal his states are not the best he's not bad but for a beginner i don't think he would be the best choice.

he can only beat charizard because hes got type advantage
charizard will beat venasaur
venasaur will beat blastoise

yeah he is right blastoise has type advanted but not state advantage if it were a battle of state charizard would win.

Blastoise can kill the other two starters with hydropump (charizard)
and Ice beam(Venusaur)

hey, if anybody starting the game (whatever starter) You must know that when you go to the five trainer hill, the guy that gives you a gold nugget will fight you when he ask you to join team rocket. Fight him and lose on purpose and when you are sent back to the pokemon center go back to the guy and he will keep giving you gold nuggets untill you defeat him. Just keep losing and you get a nugget every time the next time.

I always just raiis emy starter and 1 other poke' until i beat the elite four...after that I raise others too

blastois can only kill charizard in one hit because state advantege if if it wre just a normal battle aganst who has the best states i think charizard would win blastois has decent states but they nothing to rave about

stats is spelt S.T.A.T.S not states, (sorry that was getting quite annoying)

...blastoise probably could kill a venasaur in two hits with icebeam, but 1 solarbeam or two razor leaves would kill bloastiose too...so i suppose its all about speed, neither of them are that fast...thats why charizard is best
