Techniqually there is a CTR2 and my guess would be Crash Nitro Kart or Crash Tag Team Racing, but that's my personal opinion. You might think otherwise obviously...

CNK is a bit rubbish in graphics but good story

Kenny: You're right, maybe FireDragons should have specified more on that subject. However, we get an idea of what he means - like a second Platinum rendition of the game.
To tell the truth, I never liked playing Crash Nitro Kart very much. I think Crash Team Racing was manipulated by it.
Ideas: -New plot (as Ray said, we could use one of these)
-Oxide's redemption or something that provokes him to return
-New bosses
-New hubs
-More collectibles

what i would want maybe would be more weapons. i also would like it if they would let you customize your car by maybe collecting a certain number of wampa fruits to unlock parts or something like that. i would also want it to be online. the plot could be like cb2 where he kidnaps coco and crash has to save her.

I think it had something to do with that they ran out of ideas for Crash Bandicoot or other game producers wanted to buy the copyright to do other games for Crash Bandicoot. Thus allowing Naughtydog to get rich and develope their Jak series.(d'oh!) However, the more recent games haven't been as effective on the PS2 as on the PS1...
Hopefully this isn't advertising again, but I think Naughtydog may have dropped off some info. to playstation.com

playstation.com? Why not go to their official website? Only a fraction of their information would be given to the console's official website, if any.

Want the truth? I don't like playing the sequels of the games. CTR is old school and it should stay that way. It actually looks worse seeing graphisized karts and all that. Take this for example: Crash Nitro Kart = karts, right? Wrong. Hover Karts. What in the world?

True, but the sequels were made by Radical Entertainment. And they don't have the "touch" that Naughty Dog did, in my opinion. I don't play the new Crash PS2 games because of that. They're not original to me. Except for CTTR; I actually enjoy playing two people in one kart.

True because just about every Crash Bandicoot game for the PS2 has been based on the PS1 versions. 1 example of this would be Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped and Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex. This may be why the CB games ont he PS2 haven't been as effective because "Where is the originality?!"

I took your advice and went to the Naughty Dog website where they had things posted about the timeline of Crash. As it turns out, they did make a sequel to the game called CBR-Crash Bandicoot Racing, but it was only released in Japan. You can buy the game on the internet if you want. I already have mine ordered.

In English? For what system? Oh, my friend has Crash Tag Team Racing-it's pretty good. There are TNT's, except there are monkeys holding them(?), unlockable things like Crash being stupid in a diorama(Me likey), and there are some good and funny cutscenes.
